Favorite bar in NYC. Beautifully understated, tons of beer choices attached to a simple cocktail list, and just big enough to find a seat on a busy evening while still feeling cozy. It's everything you want it to be without the fluff; couldn't ask for more out of a neighborhood tavern.

Stopped in just for a moment to escape the weather for a while. It was unusually quiet being the Sunday post Thanksgiving holidays, but the Cab Franc (chilled) was great and just $5 at Happy hour. Additionally, they had many Non-Alcoholic options. The general atmosphere was great, very cozy, with a cellar/bunker/hunting lodge vibe, movies playing on the projectors and a pac-man arcade game in the back.

I somehow lost my AirPods and glasses agree on a Friday night and had them back on Monday. If that doesn’t tell you anything about the staff and clients, nothing will. They have a good menu too

Good bar, quite busy on Friday nights. Ask for the mulled wine!

I love this bar tucked away below. The cocktails were great as was the lighting.I felt smug watching everyone queueing for another place nearby knowing this was a true delight they may never know about.

This staff can’t get out of their own way. This place only serves beer and wine and related drinks but takes longer than any cocktail bar. The servers are nice but move at 60% speed of a normal person.I can’t understand how it took 20 min to get a beer with no one else ordering drinks- including the bartender charging the wrong card (another one he just picked up off the bar) and then decided to figure out how to refund this random person for his mistake instead of closing me out after still waiting so long for no reason.Your bartenders are space cadets

Antler is a really cool dive bar between Chinatown and Bowery. It's a basement bar so you will find it down a flight of steps. Inside, it's very narrow but goes back quite a ways. It's got a few dozen tables plus some bar seating, as well as chairs and couches in the back room where they have an old arcade machine and a TV playing old movies. Drinks here are normal price but they have a few food options. The grilled cheese is oddly amazing, you wouldn't think it would be from a dive bar but it's delicious and a must try.

Great chill place for a beer - very laid back and quiet even at 10pm on a Saturday night. Good beer selection, decent amount of space

Had a great impromptu night here on our way to a gig at a Rockwood Music Hall in July while visiting NY from Australia.Treated by Matt the bar man like we were long lost friends and had great drinks at really reasonable prices too. So good we came back on our way home. Would recommend it to anyone visiting NYC.

Nice soju shots – smooth – and Eric the bartender was nice and personable. Bathroom was clean, and I like the back area with comfy couches too. Not always that easy to find a bar with couches! It's a little too dark and felt a bit eerily empty on Monday night at 11:45 pm.

Found this place on a whim and so glad we did! CHEAP drinks considering where you are - a lot of places in Manhattan charge $20-25 a cocktail, here it was $13. The vibe was kind of speakeasy in the sense that it was dim, a little quiet and tucked away, and overall really great environment. Loved it and had a great time. The bartender was really kind and helpful in recommending drinks. We had Frozen Agave Paloma (pictured), Mule, Cocchi & Tonic, and Spritz. All great drinks and would recommend! Would love to come back next time I'm in the city.
