The food was OK. We waited for too long to be assisted and the service was not too good. They made a mistake getting our order and my nephew was the last one to eat cause they didn't bring his food. Kind of disappointed ?

Food is pretty good and prices are quite fair, but the customer service and particularly the management are among the worst I have ever experienced in decades of dining at better restaurants in Manhattan. After 6 telephone calls, 4 emails and 3 Instagram messages; no one responds to my inquiry so I may place a holiday order. One has to wonder what's going on there. Perhaps they're shutting down in the new year and have simply checked out, but this is no way to do business in a very competitive market which offers many local alternatives. A customer should never have to work this hard to give business to a restaurant.—-Addendum: Please note that this business responded below to this review advising someone would contact me to rectify this situation, however this never happened. Apparently they don’t care how they treat their customers. We’ll work with local competitor Bella Blu going forward. They have an identical menu, but they seem to value their customers.

Food is nice (we had the gnocchi, prosciutto and very good cheesecake). Gaby at the bar is the most welcoming and smiling.
Really delicious pizza and great service! I also had their Aperol from the lunch special and it was very tasty.

Fantastic pizza, excellent pasta. Good selection of meats and fish. Good comfort food, what you need on a rainy day in NewYork

Colleagues and I had a leisurely lunch here and we enjoyed the prix fixe, plus an app and a pizza. Normally this would be a lot of food for our party, but all of the dishes were simple, nice, and light. If you want a hearty meal here, prepare your wallet.

We had a great lunch here. Artichoke carpaccio was an amazing, light appetizer. Meatballs were great. Pizzas, pastas, all really good. Highly recommend.

The food was subpar, plus the service was not much better. You might want to look elsewhere for a better choice to enjoy lunch.
We have just returned from a short trip to NYC and can’t wait to come back and return to Aperitivo next spring! We were recommended the restaurant by coincidence by a staff member at nearby Tumi store, went there for a lunch on our first day… and kept returning every single consecutive day. There are plenty “semi-original” Italian places nearby, some of which we tried for a dinner, but Aperitivo is by far the best—don’t look any further!
