Crunchy outside, fluffy inside, easy bite, easy chew on the go bagels.
But this is not that, this is way more sophisticated.
This is extremely crunchy on the outside ( almost hard to bit all the way through)
This is extremely fluffy and airy on the inside so there is no need to gut it like some traditional bagels
I bought a dozen bagels home to enjoy with my family, so maybe they became harder to bite through, but GOD DAMN THE SMOKEY TOASTY FLAVOR ON THESE BAGELS WERE ON ANOTHER LEVEL.
I’m SURE if you are eating these fresh out the door 😭😭😭 THEY WOULD HAVE YOU FAIBT RIGHG THERE

I thought this place was going to be all hype, but it actually is a really good bagel.
I went on a morning in the middle of the week so there wasn’t much of a wait. The whitefish bagel was delicious. Not pictured, but I really liked how heavily seeded the everything bagel was.

Grabbed a bagel from Apollo on Sunday, seemed to be quite popular hour as we had to wait around 25’ to get inside for ordering. When inside, the waiting time wasn’t long and service was efficient. Tried their white fish burger, which looked quite Nordic. It was tasty, but nothing too special. Definitely filled my stomach though. They have also fresh orange juice. 🥤

Apollo Bagels has become the new it girl when it comes to NYC bagels. If you're Tiktok or IG feed is geared toward food at all, you've 100% seen Apollo.
My big bro LOVES this place, and has been urging me to try it with him one of these mornings. Typically, Sunday mornings are reserved for our weekly Black Seed Bagel runs to debrief the weekend and just talk about life, but I agreed to try Apollo instead.
My go to Bagel order is a BEC with no cheese and add avocado, but Apollo doesn't do bagel sandwiches so I had to call an audible.
It seems like their thing is the bagel with cream cheese and tomato, but tbh I'm really not a cream cheese guy. Maybe that shoots all my credibility right there, but I gotta be me.
I got the bagel with butter and jam on a sesame bagel, and it was just a straight up miss. The jam was a bit too sweet for me, but the real issue was the bagel was burnt to a crisp. They forsure forgot about it in the toaster as it was borderline inedible. I couldn't even finish it.
Honestly though, I gotta chalk it up to a bad day. Everyone has off days, even my beloved Black Seed Bagel has an off day every now and then. I think that is the inherent problem with Yelp. You could catch a restaurant on a bad day and your whole opinion is formed based on that.
I will come back and give Apollo another chance and update this review accordingly.
Yes this place is hyped all over Instagram and that’s the reason i tried it but is it worth the hype? Absolutely Yes!!!! The quality of the ingredients on the bagels is very good, and the soft, crunchy bagels at the same time. I tried their smoked salmon and cream cheese tomato bagels. On a side note their orange juice also slaps, super pricy though for 7 bucks.
