Lovely cocktail bar in the heart of Chinatown. It's one of those special new york city places that you have to try at least once. Good drinks cool atmosphere. Service impeccable.

The bouncers didn’t let in my boyfriend because there was a dress code which is fine, but then they proceeded to MAKE FUN OF HIS SHOES IN FRONT OF US???

I used to bring visitors to this spot for the few drinks that were good and the aesthetic inside but this was crazy - not coming back here.

Apotheke in Chinatown has such an intimate, cozy vibe - the perfect hidden gem for a night out. The cocktails were absolutely amazing - creative, balanced, and beautifully presented. The service was top-notch too - attentive without being overbearing. I loved that the atmosphere wasn’t too loud, so you can actually enjoy your drink and conversation. Definitely one of my favorite spots in the city for craft cocktails and a chill, classy evening!

The Bouncer can kick rocks. Don't come here after you've bought anything in Chinatown or you'll be denied entry with packaged food.

Was this place called the gold flower back in the 90s. I used to be the bouncer there. This place has such a great history and some of the best memories of my life.

I absolutely loved the creativity in their cocktail menu! The bar area has such a cozy vibe, which can make it feel a bit crowded at times, but the amazing bartenders definitely make it worth it. I’d suggest arriving early so you can snag a great spot!

Do your self a favor and read all of the 1-star reviews before deciding to go here. Go a few doors down to Chinese Tuxedo instead.
You might find this place to appeal based on its silly pharmacy theme and want to go grab a drink after dinner, but don’t bother if you have any bagged/sealed leftovers from said dinner, because you’ll be AGGRESSIVELY turned away by the extremely unprofessional bouncer. Why does the bouncer at a cocktail bar even need a body camera? We got rudely turned away simply because we had some leftovers from Little Italy completely sealed and in a shopping bag! Definitely not a welcoming place at all. Went a couple doors down and got great cocktails with super friendly service and absolutely no problem with the fact that we’d been out exploring the city all day and just happened to have a bag full of things from our adventures.

had a duck fat-infused cocktail here (“the woodsman?”) in 2017..it gave a horrific 10day stomach flu that truly & sincerely nearly killed me

We went in with 7 people, that's a little big for this bar. There were no seats and it is pretty loud. But, the bar ambience is very cool and definitely a place worth going. You do need to do some research on where this located. The bouncers were sitting outside so it wasn't hard to find but if they weren't there you need to know what the door looks like to enter. It's in a cool part of China town and worth making your way there.

The drinks were interesting but not exactly tasty. It was so loud in there I thought my head was going to explode. It's definitely trying too hard, and not worth the money.

Don't have a bag in your hand, or have them see you coming from next door. They will impolitely have you leave. My company and I understand, thereay not be good served at this speak easy like bar, but you're in CHINATOWN! FOOD IS 2 FEET FROM YOUR ESTABLISHMENT! This bar is not an exclusive club in the 90's. No need to speak to people like they have a baseball cap coming to Webster Hall. This place can kick rocks until something changes

A purposeful hidden gem. If you want incredibly flavorful craft cocktails with thoughtful preparation and layers of taste, but also want them in a dimly lit space filled with character - here's the place for you.

Excellent spot, building has a lot of history, back in the day gangs made holes into the buildings this building was one of them.
