Didn't like the fact that I went today with my man and we asked for 2 pounds of wild caught shrimp the 13 to 15 once head off and vines and get charged 25 dollars to be given a non fresh farmed raise de shelled and Devine bag not good when we ate loyal customers and didn't ask for frozen or farmed raised shrimp we asked for fresh wildcaught ones,the last picture is what we wanted and didn't get.
love this place. the staff is always nice, the displayed fish are always beautiful, and the quality is always outstanding. i get too good to go from here all the time and it’s truly such a great deal. it’s also super easy to get to via the b/d, less than a 5 minute walk from grand street
This is by far the best seafood mongers that’s family owned and smaller scale.
Besides having the best lobster choices in the city and being famous for that, they have random seasonal fish that hard to find. Ex: 4-5 sizes of soft shell crab, fresh anchovies and Taylor Shellfish Farms oysters out of the PNW. All their fish are displayed looking fresh(eyes never bloody, clear).
