Lucky King Reviews
Love this place.
I went twice. The grass jelly and guiling jelly are both really good. The mantou buns were just OK. I really enjoyed the black sesame rolls.
Bathroom is an absolute disaster, stay far away. In retrospect, does not make feel great about the food quality but oh well. 😅

Lucky King Bakery, with its Chinese name "Double Happiness Big Pastry Family," offers an array of delectable pastries and baked goods. Located on the fringe of Chinatown, the bakery can get quite busy, especially in the mornings, with a lively and sometimes chaotic atmosphere. Customers can choose from a variety of buns, including ham and egg, char siu, and hot dog, as well as fresh-made rice rolls with beef or shrimp. The bakery is known for its fried dim sum and traditional Cantonese breakfast specialties, which are both tasty and comforting. Its fried dim sum items are especially well-made and flavorful, and the breads and pastries are consistently good. The bakery also serves classic items like pineapple buns and roast pork buns, along with sweet and savory bars and birthday cakes. The staff is efficient, and prices are very reasonable, making it a popular neighborhood spot. However, limited seating and cash-only payments can be inconvenient for some visitors. Despite these minor challenges, Lucky King Bakery remains a favorite place to enjoy authentic Chinese baked goods and a lively Chinatown experience.
