The worst dinner I’ve ever had by far. Made us wait 45 minutes past our reservation time. Food was horrible and when we confronted the staff about it we were met with attitude. Stay away

200/10. The food and drinks were phenomenal. The service was excellent. We did the tasting menu and the courses were appropriately paced. Somehow the combination of Japanese and Italian worked perfectly. The restaurant is massive and wasn’t super full but the music and vibe was great. Highly recommend. I’d go back in a heartbeat

The Mafalde pasta is super good but nothing else really blew me away.
Tried the spicy tuna, arancini, bruschetta, and the rock shrimp (these were a bit better than Ok)
Came for brunch and will try dinner again because I suspect their aqua Roma menu is where they shine.

Ambience was very nice. Great space beautiful place.
Food was ok. Nothing stood out. I saw a lot of hype around the oxtail ragu, but that was actually the worst thing we had. I couldn’t even eat half of it and I was trying my best lol. Not worth the price for me to give it another shot.

Beautifully designed space and was curious to try the food there since I always see large amounts of people going there. The service was excellent and very attentive, which is always a must for me. The food, I will say I was bit disappointed because they were elaborately designed but was quite salty all of it. I had the various rolls which they offered but all of it seemed salty for my palette. If you want delicious sushi, I would try any other place than this. This place is more of a drinks and appetizers kind of place to hang out but not a true dinner.

I had difficulty communicating because I don't speak English, but the waiter was very kind and waited for me and explained everything step by step so that I could understand. The food was delicious. If I come back to New York, I will definitely visit again.

The tasting menu is excellent, very tasty. The only issue was that the service was way too slow, long pauses between meals. 10 min wait for the check.

Great place to come if you want to spend a lot of money waiting around for your food...or drink...or a glass of water. In which restaurant does a server confuse a Wagyu with a 30 ounce ribeye and serves the wrong steak? Then you sit around and wait for a replacement while the evening ebbs away - knowing that either way the servers are getting a healthy gratuity because its a group of more than six.

Highly recommended for having a miserable evening. The McDonalds probably has better service.

A really fun date night restaurant! HUGE and gorgeous. Feels fancy without being pretentious. Food was incredible. We ate the sushi but I want to go back for the Italian food. The staff was chic and kind. Highly recommend.

GOD! this was such a disappointing experience. I rarely write reviews but I do pride myself on finding good food and curating good taste. The ambience is gorgeous and the service was fine. But the food is sooooo disappointing- overpriced and super small portions. Usually to command a small portion requires you to blow the taste out of the water but the entire meal was disappointing. We had a group of 8 celebrating our friends bday and right from the appetizer to the Japanese and Italian entrees the food was below average. a prime example is that the rigatoni was undercooked and hard for a tiny portion. The sashimi platter ($90 mind you) was tiny cuts of fish that didn’t even taste that fresh. The flavors were missing (especially in the lamb tortellini) and overall the entire meal was deeply disappointing.

Will never come back here and absolutely recommend folks don’t come back.

Such incredible concept to have an Italian restaurant and a Japanese restaurant in one beautiful restaurant! Aqua is such a unique and exceptional experience. Our clients have raved every time that we’ve sent them, and I myself have had incredible experiences, even if I’m just going to the bar. I can’t recommend them enough, and pro tip; The Mafalde will literally change your life.

They have it all - a huge space for parties, amazing drinks including NA options, solid wifi, kind and thoughtful staff. Would come back for happy hour.

FYI I came on a Wednesday around 3pm with a friend and there was no wait at all. Surprised how empty it was knowing they opened 7 months ago. Seems like a hidden gem to me 🙂
