Not sure who is writing these Eater Magazine coffee articles, but I’m on the 3rd NYC roaster shop, and they are all below average. Perhaps Denver and SF are more developed in the high end coffee market, but this shop and Variety Coffee are both very average.Lack of options on the pour over; seriously this is NYC and I get to choose one espresso?Build out a bigger list of espressos.
With the firm belief that one of the biggest virtues of a coffee shop is availability of seating, I reckon 4 stars is what this Devocion location deserves. Good drinks, fine decor, but wow is it a frustrating wait (oftentimes neverending) to get a seat. The Brooklyn location is a lot better on the front of seat availability for whatever reason. I feel entitled to write this review after generous tipping. Anyways folks please be warned
