I gave the food a 4 rating perhaps largely due to personal taste issues. Others liked their food. I found my Olivier salad to be a bit salty and oniony and "less smooth" than others I've had. My stuffed cabbage was served in a salty broth - unexpected and not to my taste. So, I need to try other foods to be fair. My Onegin dessert had a very good custard - better than most places. First and foremost, the food was really good! I didn't know what to expect because I had never had Russian food before, and everything was really tasty. The beef tongue was a real standout in my mind. I also loved the pate and the stroganoff. The bread and butter was varied and satisfying.My complaint is that we were sat under a speaker and they were blasting techno music so loud that we could not hear each other at the table, and we ask them to turn it down and they said no....read full review

Lovely, authentic, and comforting Russian food, approved by a Russian American. We will definitely go back. My parents who aren't the biggest New York fans also loved it and said they want to come back the next time they're visiting me!
