A slice of classic NY in Midtown East steps away from Grand Central. Old school. Attentive and knowledgable staff. Cuisine: sumptuous American bistro fare. Killer martinis. Respectable wine list and wines by the glass. Been going for year. It's a fan favourite.
We always enjoy dining at this restaurant. We are welcomed the minute we walk in the door. We like to sit at certain tables, and we are lucky to have our request honored. We particularly like the warm Parkerhouse rolls, crisps, Caesar salad, pasta, steak, Dover sole and beignets. The food is delicious. The service is delightful and not rushed. Since so many high-end restaurants are now in the hands of hospitality groups, it is a pleasure to dine at a family restaurant with one...
Pleasant bar / jazz venue before or after dinner . Selection of wine was limited and not very good for the price per glass. Bar food was uninspiring and quite bland (guacamole). Also , price excessive .The host was very welcoming and I would go back because of him and what musicians or singer were performing
