A high quality lounge for the "old folks". Have fun with 40+ people with money. A good place to celebrate a special occasion.
Over-priced and mediocre drinks and views. Drinks are disappointing, especially for the price. The espresso martini tastes like watered down instant coffee.
This place is usually great for a chill cocktail or two after work, but last night there was a looooong corporate happy hour going on, so even though we had a reserved table, it was packed with banking and finance bros, who have no sense of personal space lol. That said, once that group finally cleared out, it returned to its regular relaxing vibe. And as always, the cocktails and munchies are delightful.
Good bar with a great view.
I would rather speak to the manager. Any comments here could deter others from patronizing your establishment.
My company held a summer kick-off there for about 50 people. Stunning setting. Expansive room with views of Central Park. Continuous service of cocktails and delicious horsdoerves .
Horrible service. Our server (Hira maybe) only seemed to provide good service to tables of older men. I would not recommend this place for group of ladies.
Hira was super rude and entitled. We got a first round of drinks and we tipped then. Then the second round of drinks we got she was
lecturing us that we should have given 20% tip. She did not engage with us at all and was very unprofessional.
Celebrated my bday. All I can say was an amazing night. Thank you to the Ascent amazing team made my bday celebration even better. Kudos to you guys xoxo... Hope
Picturesque view with outstanding drinks to accompany. The staff was attentive and quick to serve. We don't get any food this time around, but would definitely go again to partake.

The view of the park is the best thing going. Drinks are fair. Over the years, it's gotten pretty stale. They need to do something to up the ante. Overall, underwhelming.
Nice Adult space... easily could be a go to spot with more pictures and exposure. Food was tasty I had the skewers, lobster rolls and the crab cakes (crab cakes were a little small). Overall all Very Nice. DJ was very talented hit all music choices. Drinks were very good Lady Violet was my favorite and the Smoked Old Fashion
Needs more light. Why does it have to be so dark? We want to be able to see each other as we celebrate and drink together. But thats one of very few things that needed improvement. Overall, it was an elegant setting and we all felt special that evening. Great drinks and service. We'd go again - but earlier when it's more bright.
All of the small plates we tried were tasty -- some were outstanding. Particularly recommend the vegetable dumplings, brussel sprouts, and lobster roll. There were four of us and it was nice that most of the small plates had four pieces. The most filling were the skewers of barbecued chicken, also very tasty, and the tuna tacos were anothr popular choice, as were the slightly spicy crab cakes.. The Sauvignon Blancs (both the California and the New Zealand) were good and the bourbon (Basil Haydn) and Tequila were very popular with others at the table. It's important to order wisely! Some of the drink items seem outrageously expensive but we found what we ordered well-priced. Did I mention the view? Stunning. Service attentive. We went for the first time and would definitely return.
Great view of Central Park. Staff was nice but stopped being attentitive at the end. We mentioned that we needed to leave by a certain time but could not find a server when we needed to get our check. Drinks were good and normally priced for a place with this quality view and decor. We went on a Thursday evening at 7pm and it was less than 40% full.
