Matea is the best bartender! I come see her after my bartending shift and she always has such a positive spirit and knows her drinks. Lovely place with great music.

After having participated at a great event at the Jazz at Lincoln Center Theater, we decided to give this lounge spot a look-see and it has a tremendous ambiance which adds to the flavor of the lounge. The Waygu Sliders were great, the hummus dip was excellent, the Chicken sliders were decent and the Lobster rolls were up to par. So if you are looking for a hip atmosphere where you can see a great view then visit the Ascent Lounge!

The menu doesn’t state all the ingredients. Ordered a cocktail, and after a few sips realized I’m having an allergic reaction, found out that the cocktail has egg white, which I’m extremely allergic to, and there’s not a single word on the menu.

Expensive, but not much more than comparable venues. Food is excellent but particularly expensive. Cocktails are comparable to other very good venues. Ambience is wonderful, especially because of the tremendous views of Columbus Circle and Central Park. Service was good but actually too fast - servers put down drinks or food and vanished before we could make another request! That was especially peculiar because we were there between 6 and 7:30pm, pre-concert, and the very large space was nearly empty. I would definitely go there again.

A mouse (our mice) running around ended the evening early for me. There was 2 sightings so was not sure if the same mouse or more than one. The ambience is dimly lit - so they were having a party. It was also too dark corridor to bathroom - that I could not find it and asked the host which was the ladies room. Also had a bathroom with attendant with an attitude and understandably hates her job, so she should get another one. It is hard to erase this experience - sadly I do not think I will go back.

Awesome service! The waiter brought 2 welcome shots for our friend who is visiting nyc. This was a note left on the reservation and the staff knew to make sure she was taken care of!

First of all, owner got a really good taste: atmosphere and decor is really nice; gives me some Dubai’s DIFC distric vibes; I can named that zuma-style lounge , but why I’m giving only 3*, cuz on Saturday night around 1:30 found that place absolutely empty- can’t see any reason why they still open that late on weekends. Come here for a chill date with a nice drink and view but don’t expect some parties or fun

Ascent, located on the 4th floor of The Shops at Columbus Circle, is an upscale cocktail lounge. They have this unbelievably decadent signature cocktail called the Espresso Hazelnut Pop Rocks. It contains Belvedere vodka infused with Vienna roast coffee and vanilla beans, a fresh shot of espresso, and heavy cream. But perhaps the most luxurious part about this drink is that the ice cube is really a Frangelico and hazelnut gelato cube.

The tuna tartare tacos were also very refreshing and made the perfect afternoon snack.

Side note: This place is quite fancy. They asked me take my hat off.
