Excellent sushi and friendly, attentive service. Dinner bento box offers a nice variety and great value. Will definitely come back!
A great local gem! We had a great experience celebrating a friend‘s birthday. The restaurant went above and beyond, and made sure that our little group with a toddler was well situated with great service the whole time. Large portions food, delicious, and unpretentious.

Customers wanted sushi my favorite place close to their hotel… THE CHELSEA..was closed at lunch. I took them here. Oh well another mediocre place in Chelsea. The miso soup looked good but was TASTELESS but the worst thing that put them off was the green tea. It was like something was in the pot that wasn’t green tea. I can’t explain it but none of us could drink it. They had water but I had to order a Coca Cola to cover up the taste. As an avid tea drinker who has visited tea plantations from Ceylon to China, even the color was wrong. It basically ruined the meal. The salad arrived for those who ordered it with a TON of dressing. It was disappointing. The Coca Cola was good !

I’ve been to Asuka many times and last night was a big disappointment. The special rolls were meh and for the price, a real disappointment. Our table was freezing cold (yes, I know how cold the city is but don’t put your tables near the door if you cannot manage the it). Worst of all the kitchen staff periodically took crates of fish and bags of trash directly past our table - so much so that my guest literally had to shift their body and move the chair so the staff could pass by. II know everyone has work to do and this is no shade on the staff but management should never allow crates and trash to be carted past eating guests during dinner service. I’ve probably been to Asuka 20 times and I am unsure I will return any time soon.

A crowded and noisy place (but maybe that was because it was a Friday night and Valentine's Day. Would prefer not to be looking a a large television screen during the meal. The menu features elaborate contemporary "rolls" with too much going on, in my opinion. I guess what I am saying is that it is not the place for a classic, calm, sushi experience. Maybe it's just for people younger than I am!
Always a delicicious sushi dinner..to share an asuka roll, a pink lady roll and a yellowtail/avocado/jalapeno roll with a couple sushi pieces makes it perfect!
The service was great. The fish was fresh, if unspectacular; reliable snd reasonable. My only suggestion is about the rice. Too much dashi. But they have a nice vibe.
Amazing restaurant. If you are an out of towner I would highly recommended. It is a great local spot with great ambience. Service and food were both great.
