I'm probably going to jinx it now but hot coffee, the occasional pastry and lunch sandwich, and a good morning greeting - nothing beats it (sorry, Starbucks).

I would give 0 if I could. Overpriced and the egg sandwiches come with paper stuck inside the sandwich.

Customer service/lady at the register was very polite and helpful. She had a long line and still willing to help out with my questions. Orders a large hot coffee, and a croissant with ham and cheese ( served hot). And at the register, you receive a breakfast sandwich and coffee discount in the morning. Can't go wrong.

It's Ok. Not as spacious. Employees are friendly and there's plenty on duty. I'm not fond of the seating accommodations. They don't have a bathroom. I guess you must use a public bathroom in Penn Station. I'm not staying for lunch. I see the same menu items but don't feel comfortable here. Sorry Au Bon. I'll stick to my regular locations. Macy's and Rockefeller Center.

I ordered a veggie hummus wrap from the counter. The wrap is the only vegan item that have. It was filled with feta cheese. As a Vegan, I was incredibly upset. It's as if they put pork in kosher perosn's meal. I threw out the whole wrap. Please learn to follow the menu on the board.

We ended our trip to NYC with a stop at Au Bon Pain! Their pastries are delicious! My favorite was the chocolate croissant! Heard that the carrot cake was delicious too! Enjoy!

I ordered a sweet turkey wrap before another dude, but the employee in this pic prepared another dude's order before mine. I don't mind waiting a few more minutes but this is absolutely nonsense.

I was craving a good dessert so I came here and decided to get an almond croissant to which they were all out so I grabbed a mudslide cookie. Lo and behold the cookie was ROCK HARD AND INEDIBLE. I had to check if my front tooth was still intact. This is the second issue I've had with this location. The first issue was the cashier woman knowingly saw me but took another persons order that was in the back of me. When I inquired why my order was overlooked she pointed to the woman on the next register who was also African American to to take my money. Unbelievable. I will not be returning

Great food. Though their sandwiches could be better.

Most Au Bon Pains are created equally. This one, in the concourse of Penn Station is particularly small and configured in an awkward manner allowing one to bump into others. Although there seems to be enough seating, it is mainly grab and go. Au Bon Pain seems to be passe' and back in the day, they were known for their baked goods. I also enjoyed them and I'm sure they're still satisfying. These days, I usually visit Au Bon Pain for a quick coffee (Hazelnut is quite good and an even better value price wise) or their soups. This location might have a smaller than usual selection however, beverages, coffee/tea, oatmeal, packaged salads/fruit/sandwiches, soups and bottled water can be purchased here. Convenient for those hopping on the LIRR or Amtrak. As mentioned earlier, the space is tight and cumbersome when preparing coffee or getting some soup. Btw, if you're fond of chicken soup--better go early. I tried to get some yesterday but the only thing left in the kettle was broth. Noodles, carrots and chicken all a no show. Hmmmm. So much for that. I don't put much stock in relying on Au Bon Pain as my go to place but I'll grab and go. Or maybe sit (at another location) and have some soup. A large soup runs about 6 bucks. (I happen to like the butternut-apple bisque) Average

Grabbed a bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich this morning. IT WAS SO BAD. There wasn't even cheese on it like whaaaaat?!

I went in to the location inside Penn Station and ordered my usual warm chicken and avocado. What I got was basically a bread sandwich with a little chicken and some avocado. Normally I don't complain, but when you are paying $11.00 for lunch I felt the need. They were nice enough to remake it with the right amount of chicken and avocado. Thank you to the gentleman who made it for me, but it should not have happened in the first place. If you're trying to save money, cutting the food is not the way to go.

A pretty good croissant for a hole in the ground!
