The bacon with the burger was delish. Don't skip the veg side dishes, also yummy.
We’ve been wanting to come to Au Cheval for a while and glad we finally made the trip. We got there a little early so we grabbed drinks at the bar downstairs which were great (quality is on point). Once back at the main restaurant, the fried chicken appetizer was the first thing we wanted to try. Absolutely delicious and I actually enjoyed it more than the burger. It’s also a very big portion size for an appetizer. We then split the burger and broccoli which were both good on its own. The burger is very filling so I’d definitely recommend sharing one. Finally we had the Mille-feuille which was the star of the show in my opinion. The dessert was huge and absolutely amazing in taste and texture. I’d come back just for that which I might do in the future. Make reservations beforehand because you need one, this place gets packed. Lastly the vibe inside is one thing that really stood out to me - low light and great house music. Au Cheval hit all the points I wanted to see and is worth the hype.
Lose the whack mural and I’ll give the atmosphere 5 stars.
The double cheeseburger was one of the most tasty burgers I have tried in New York
The best experience!
the burger was delicious
the mac & cheese was perfect
The meat was very perfect.
But the French fries are the best I have ever eaten in my life, they had a delicious sauce!

Got duped by social media. Food is decent but not worth the price. Service is slow, unfriendly, and we waited excessively to order, to receive food, and to cash out. Pretentious spot that missed the mark with our table
Kid-friendliness: Not really kid friendly.

A phenomenal burger presented beautifully with staff that actually care about serving you with a smile. It’s great to see a product that lives up to the hype on social media and the hospitality to back it.
