I ended up becoming a repeat customer during my short stay in NYC. I ordered Beef Noodles, spicy version—it had 6 thick slices of beef, a generous serving of noodles, and tasty (on the salty side) soup. The server was also very friendly and helpful.
Recommended for a filling, value-for-money meal!
More places should normalize popcorn chicken as part of a balanced lunch. Bao Bao Cafe in addition to being adorably named has a menu of affordable noodle and rice combinations. I ordered the popcorn chicken with rice for $11.50 which came with a generous portion of chicken, rice, a marinated egg, and broccoli. The broccoli was served cold and was dressed in sesame oil which was a refreshing accompaniment.
Well the only woman in staff was amazing friendly. And we had laughs. Would I come back. Yes time and time again. The way they treat people with respect and kindness surpasses expectations. And the FOOD. Chef's kiss.
