Rooftop bars are one of my favorite activities in a new city. I looked for one within walking distance of our hotel near Times Square, that took reservations, and had good reviews for the views. Reservations were easy, and while the glass barrier means you can’t look straight down, the vibe is still worth it as a rooftop bar. A glass of champagne and a cocktail set us back approximately $67, including gratuity. There is supposedly a time limit to the table reservation, but we were not hurried at all by the waitstaff. It was a very relaxed time, and it was gorgeous outside in early October.

We came here in June 20205 for cocktails and bites before a show. It's a wonderful place. Unbelievable views from everywhere! We were a tad disappointed because it was raining while we were there and the patio was closed.
The experience was wonderful! The servers were fantastic and very accommodating. We really wanted to sit by the window, but there were only 2 of us. So, we couldn't. Perhaps seating could be arranged for some tables for 2 by the window. We live near Sacramento and the tallest rooftop bar there is 3 stories tall. Not nearly the same.
We will definitely return here on our next trip to NYC. Food and drinks were fantastic.!

$25 for a cocktail feels absurd. The drinks weren’t exceptional, the service was just okay, and the atmosphere didn’t justify the price. It feels more like a place to see your credit card shrink than to enjoy a night out.

Try to get a reservation for the balcony seating area before you arrive. This will change your entire experience. Otherwise, you're having cocktails inside, and although nice, its better to be out where you can see. Its a small, cozy atmosphere. The staff is accommodating when we arrived without reservation and we appreciate that.

We booked on the patio for 19:15, we showed up on time at the club but once we went up they didn't let us sit down because we had a child. The website does not specify that children cannot be brought. As far as I'm concerned, it was rude behaviour. I don't recommend going to a place like that.

What’s not to love. AMAZING views, fantastic drinks and impeccable service. Expertly crafted drinks from the highest rooftop bar in Manhattan is an experience I would recommend to anyone visiting the city.

Bar 54 is hands down the best rooftop I’ve ever been to in Manhattan! In just one week I went twice – once with friends visiting from the Bahamas and Poland, and another time for a date night with my husband. The views are absolutely breathtaking and something you won’t forget. For sure the best view for the NYE ball drop
The drinks are amazing – I had a Pornstar Martini that was honestly the best I’ve ever tried. Incredible atmosphere, great service, and unforgettable experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!
