Very nice atmosphere also when seated outside, good food made with fresh ingredients. Simple Italian dishes that do not disappoint. Overall a good value for money.
Closed. For years
This is a beautiful restaurant with a magic veranda The pizza are delicious We went twice and ordered different pizza. The lasagna are bit too greasy for my taste Excellent cappuccino Excellent service.
Very good pizza
A lovely restaurant in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, serving Italian food. We opted for pizza and the mushroom lasagne, both of which were simply delicious. And our waiter was super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.
We visited for coffee, soft drinks and deserts. Everything was nice as well as their friendly service. We propose it and try to visit it again.
Cheap and cheerful Italian in Greenwich Village a good choice if you’re going to the nearby Comedy Cellar or Blue Note. Basically pizzas or lasagne - the latter available As a ‘flight’ ie four quarters of different lasagne. They were all decent. The wine by the glass was nothing special but we liked the ‘greenhouse’ area at the back. Very busy but not too noisy.
Came here for the live Jazz, which sadly they do not have anymore. But it’s okay! The host gave us a tour of the place, it’s really cool. Great vibes! We decided to stay and have some apple cider. It was YUMMY! I added caramel flavor to mine… so good.

I reserved a table in “the garden.” It’s actually a kind of backyard greenhouse without the green. It was extremely noisy like an echo chamber and only half full. It must be deafening when filled to capacity. My wife and I couldn’t communicate due to the noise. We changed to a lovely window seat up front. We had a tasty green salad with smoked duck. It was excellent. My main dish was the sausage and broccoli rabe lasagna. I chose this because it’s cooked with homemade pasta. This dish was submerged in gobs of melted cheese, so much so that I could hardly taste the sausage, pasta and broccoli rabe. Not good. I left half of it. My wife had a panino with salami and Gorgonzola on ciabatta roll. She liked it. Overall this was a mediocre experience and, with all the restaurant choices in this area, I would not return.

My first visit to La Lanterna: Sat at table in their rear garden (covered atrium) and had a terrific meal, a "flight" of lasagna, four flavors served in individual ramekins. Good red wine, perfect service. Only minus was paper napkins. Real food demands real, cloth napkins.
Overall experience disappointing. Ok food but nothing special, surly service, tables much too close together. Loud and very lively if that’s what you’re after but not for us.
Nice bar, good service. Oyster Rockefeller is fantastic
Lasagna flight, enough said! Pizza was great too.
We visited La Lanterna di Vittoro the first weekend of Dec and were disappointed with the service and food, our wait person was a young lady the didn't know anything about the food, Restaurant was packed and were accommodated at patio which had a good ambient, me and my wife ordered lasagna and food was just below average. the waitress didn't come back and probably past close to 30 mins to check on us, This is a restaurant that wont come back
