Do not recommend this place! They gave a menu which stated “oyster happy hour 3-6 everyday” - manager told us they do not have the special anymore. Hmmmm how is this okay???? FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. Super upset and will never spend money here

This place was wonderful for our visit during happy hour today! The service was amazing (I didn't get his name but our server was awesome!). He was able to answer all of our questions and was very attentive. My boyfriend and I both ordered happy hour drinks, a beer and a glass of red wine, and they were both very cheap & delicious. Oysters are only a dollar a piece during happy hour, and my boyfriend was very satisfied with the six-piece plate of oysters he ordered. We also got the charcuterie & meat board of a mix of 5 options for $35 (great deal!). The cheeses we got were the truffle cheese, a blue cheese, and a creamy/stinky cheese. All of them were wonderful and good portion sizes. The meats we ordered were pork rillete and prosciutto & they were delicious. the board came with mustard, fig jam, cornichaun pickles, olives, peppers, and a generous side of bread. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a great happy hour option!

Nice wine bar in Le District in Brookfield Place, New York. Here you can get wines that are cheap even by New York DownTown standards. Only a small selection, but delicious. Small menu for food, but also very good. The tuna and beef burgers are very tasty. Everything else the guests ate and drank around us also looked very good and we only saw happy faces.

Great bar for HH. I had a sparkling white and my BF had the red, and a cocktail all were delicious. The bartenders were superb - fast, attentive, and made great cocktails when we didn't know what we wanted. The ambiance was fun, it was pretty full and there was music. Can't wait to return!

Been wanting to check this place out so when two eager friends where game we went for lunch. The server knew the menu and was helpful with our order but neglected to mention that a request for Prosecco would be substituted with Brut which did not bode well with the recipient. All was made well and the imposter was removed from the bill. My beet salad was perfect and at $14 quite reasonable for the city. Paid the same for a glass of white wine. A small cheese plate came with two tiny wedges and some hard rolls were brought to the table. The Gouda was gooda ?My companions were content with their meals although not overly excited. I tasted both and would have been satisfied. The roasted butternut squash was a bit hard but not lacking in flavor. The sweet pea tartine was unusually tasteful. We tried it and I’m glad I did. I don’t hear the place calling me name to come back but if it does it will be for more samples of the cheeses.

I had the pleasure of visiting Bar-a-Vin on a recent trip to NYC while on both business and pleasure. What a GREAT find! This rather unique wine bar came highly recommended by friends in the financial district, so off I went. What fabulous food to accompany an astoundingly well-selected wine list. And I'm a wine freak and collector for some 30 years. BUT - the real coup de gras was the service by an exceptionally well-trained and very knowledgeable wine steward. Can't call him a bar tender - he was so much more than that. Greg? You are a class act. I have since informed my colleagues of my outstanding experience and you KNOW I will be back every chance I get when in NYC. Thank you, Greg. What a pleasure it was getting to know you and learning so much from you.
