I would give this place a 4.5 if I could. I loved the old-fashioned white table clothes and civilized atmosphere. Food and service were both good. The noise level is low enough that you can actually have a conversation without raising your voice! The prices were very reasonable. I would definitely go there again.
I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant on the 4th of July, and I'm so glad I did! I initially assumed the restaurant might be closed for the holiday, so I called around 11:50 a.m. to check. To my surprise, the manager, Johnny, picked up and kindly informed me that they were open. This small, cozy, Italian restaurant is a gem. I eat out 3-4 nights a week in Manhattan at white table cloth restaurants and Barbaresco is one of favorites. Excellent food which varies nightly and includes many sea food items, superb service , elegant Italian Bistro surroundings and good values reside at Barbaresco.
