Gonzalo, our waiter, was wonderful. A great place for lunch or dinner.
G at the bar was the best! So was Eddie! We’ve been coming here for years. The Jalisco drink, the Israeli salad and the dips are NOT to be missed.
Everything was great...the wine, food and service. Gene was a fantastic bartender.
We have been coming to Barbounia for many years and G is so personable at the bar. We love him! Go and ask for G!
The Sancerre is only matched by the knowledge of the bartender Eugene! Thanks guys
Timur provided us with an excellent dining experience. Easily one of the best brunch locations in NYC!
We had an amazing experience at Barbounia! From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and stylish decor set the tone for a great night. We tried a variety of dishes — everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor.
Special shoutout to our server G, who gave us spot-on recommendations and made the whole evening feel effortless and fun. The vibe was lively yet relaxed, perfect for both conversation and celebration.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place with great food, great service, and an atmosphere that just makes you want to stay a little longer.
G was the best . Love him , you should promote him
Beautiful place, great ambiance, excellent service. We went for brunch. My friend loved his Israeli french toast. We both loved the fruit special appetizer. I was not crazy about my eggs benedict with bacon on the Jerusalem bagel. I thought the eggs were a bit overcooked, the bacon kind of hard to cut, and the bagel impossible to cut without a steakknife. But I would go back and try a more Meditteranean dish. The place is lovely and exceptional service.
I have been here 6 times prior with my coworker for company dinners, Everytime it was a wonderful time. This has been my 1st time I went alone and took my family. We were seated at a horrible area. The waiters kept bumping into my chair and my daughter's as well. Our waiter, his name was Timur, he was best put simply awful. He was very attentive to the other table he was assigned to but kept missing ours. I will say the bus boys and other assistants to him is what saved us from walking out. I will definitely inform my boss about my experience, and I will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone. For what we paid for the waiters and our table made our dinner night a waste of time.

Food was good, service was lacking though - our reservation was at 430 but the kitchen didn't open until 5 and we had no idea who our server was, a lot of different people kept coming over to the table. We ordered beer and didn't get it until the end of the meal. We wanted to ask someone if we could eat cupcakes but couldn't flag anyone done - though they did charge us a cake fee.
The good and service were outstanding. Our waitress assisted us with choosing dinner and wine selections. She encouraged us to try a dessert , Silan, we wouldn't experience at any other restaurant and it was so yummy! We were celebrating our anniversary and the setting and service made our night very special.
Lovely place, was there with family for Sunday brunch. All dishes were executed perfectly, except for the duck. Not much of a duck on a plate, plus weird taste of earthy herbs overpowering the rest.
My fiancée and I went on our first date here almost a year ago. We go back often and will never forget what this place holds in our hearts. Beyond that great food, service, and atmosphere. Away top grade.
First time at Barbounia. Went for brunch on Saturday. We were early, so it wasn't crowded. The food was all excellent! Service was solid. We will definitely be going back. Definitely want to try dinner.
