Super friendly staff. We really enjoyed the Korean pancake as appetizer, However, the Bulgogi hot stone bowl and fisherman's stew were good but not exceptional. As we like to try new things, always a crapshoot whether you will like or not. Barn Joo is clearly popular and was very crowded and while food was good and reasonably priced, have had better in the area. Nothing not to like but nothing that stood out.
This was absolutely one of the most unique and vivid dining experiences I have ever had. The restaurant was beautiful, hospitality was like family and it really made me feel welcome when I was truly nervous about trying Korean food for the first time. Alright, so this spot is kinda tucked away, which is cool. They've got a decent-sized bar and plenty of tables. We had to wait a bit, but just grabbed drinks at the bar and ordered some apps.
