Surprisingly good. We had dinner with another couple. Rack of lamb was excellent and so was callos ala madrinelia. Service was top notch.

Service: good!
Food: eek. super salty and not good. This is way too-expensive for what they offer. The only good item is croquetas and tarta vasca. Skip the rest.

Sexy, beautiful little restaurant... It's a sprawling but tight space, so newbie fabulous-affective passive-aggressive transplants are fortunately forced to actively engage with and experience actual New Yorkers... It's a great Spanish restaurant, in the West Village, and it's flippin' delicious...

We’re gonna talk about the staff first, the host, waiter, bartender, everyone is so welcoming. I can’t express enough. Now we’re going to talk about the food. Dorothy, take me with the wind cause I’m blown away. Everything was delicious from start to beginning, I couldn’t even rate because after the first dish I didn’t think it could get better than that!

the unexceptional food and high price tag *might* have been offset by the kind staff and cute atmosphere, but the foodborne illness guaranteed that i will not be returning

Overall a very nice experience. Great service and lovely ambiance.
- We did feel misguided by the server. She recommended two items from each section of the menu (two pintxos, two apps, two entrees) for two people. This would have been way too much food. We ordered two pintxos, two apps, and one entree (plus dessert) and left feeling absolutely stuffed and uncomfortable.
- The shrimp dish with eggs and potatoes was the highlight of the meal and a must order. Amazing. So flavorful. This is a larger portion and should really be considered an entree.
- The anchovy (salty, yummy cheese) and croqueta (so much jamon) pintxos were also very good.
- The venison loin was unfortunately a let down. Maybe we got a bad piece, but half of ours was dry and chalky. At $60+ and the most expensive entree on the menu, I expect more.
- They were out of the cheesecake, which ended up being a blessing in disguise as it allowed us to order the chocolate cake. Incredible. Super gooey and fudgy in the center.
- I wish the gintonic on the cocktail menu was more like a traditional gintonic (served in a goblet with many garnishes). Instead it was their take on it, served in a highball glass with a single olive.

The filet mignon with liver/pate was the best I've ever had in 7 decades. The wine pairing was superb.
Overall good food, frisées salad and doversol fish was not very good. Chocolate cake was the best dish of the night, best in New York

Wonderful restaurant- great service! Glad to have such a great restaurant in the neighborhood
Super cozy bar and great cocktail. then into dining room for dinner. friendly and helpful waitstaff, all with big personalities! food is truly delicious. cannot recommend highy enough
Our server was top notch; he did a wonderful job guiding us through the menu and ensured we hit all the right notes. The maître d' was very accommodating and helpful with information on planning future visits.
Service team from host to bartender to wait staff were fantastic. They were the stars of the show. Not the only stars, but the shiniest
This is a precious little restaurant. With precious Servers and a very precious Sommelier. There is a precious owner navigating the precious square footage and a precious little powder room that you enter sideways. The food for the most part is good (croqetas de jamon, mushrooms al ajillo, Vieras, Lentejas, Ensaladilla de la casa) to excellent (Anchoa y Mantaquilla, Foie Terrazzo). Only miss was the Torrenzos (chicharons). The menu is well executed with a deft hand from the kitchen. This place has great potential once it quits taking itself so seriously. We will go back for the food.
