I go for late lunch and a drink at the bar. Always calm. Good food. Good cocktails. Friendly but not intrusive service. Highly recommended

B'artusi in the West Village delivered a truly memorable meal. The vibe is lively (and definitely on the louder side), but still a great spot for an evening out.
I had the baked gnocchi with duck ragu, cherry agrodolce, sunchokes, and sage, and it was absolutely incredible. Rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced — it genuinely felt like a cozy, Thanksgiving-style dish.
Fantastic food and a fun atmosphere.

The food was decent but the waiters were rude and they didn’t care especially the guy with curls. He didn’t respond after we said “have a goodnight, thank you” because we didn’t leave the tip he expected us to leave. (We left 20% tip). We felt uncomfortable.

Had a quick dinner with friends before a show and it was just lovely. The staff was truly a delight. Our servers were so friendly and pleasant to chat with. Our meals were all amazing. And the wine was perfect. Honestly, it was such a nice evening. Highly recommend.

We were told we could get a table in an hour at 6:30 to have dinner at 7:30 - and we go back at 7:40 to check how the table is going, and the lady at the front desk says, “I was going to text you, the kitchen actually closed at 7:30 - but if you want a drink you can.” I was genuinely shocked at how unprofessional the whole situation was. The fact that we didn’t get any text beforehand to let us know, when we could have been looking for other options, is mind boggling to me. What makes it worse is that they clearly would have known the kitchen was closing before we came back, and still chose not to tell us. I’m sure the food is great - I’ve never had it - but that service and the whole situation genuinely still makes no sense to me. Very strange, very disappointing, and I feel very disrespected.

Decided to come here after a great show in the village on a Thursday night.
🦋 welcoming & attentive staff
🦋 place is beautiful, great atmosphere & ambience. But when the place got full, you can’t hear each other talk…. It was way too loud and everyone is in a tight area.
🦋 great cocktails , enjoyed it, definitely recommend for the drinks. They have an extensive menu, something for everyone.
🦋 the food was very disappointing. Everything is small amount , overly priced and lacks quality & quantity. Felt like hungover food (I guess it’s a bar) but they definitely need to work on this food menu…
-arancini was the best thing …but still heavy
-cheesy garlic bread - was something I can make with my eyes closed, no big flavor or anything special about it…
-lamb meatballs - didn’t taste like lamb at all, very heavy sauce with heavy cheese…
🦋 One Co Ed bathroom, very clean
🦋 overall nice place, like a trendy bar, definitely come for drinks but don’t think you’re going to get high quality Italian food… definitely not, just greasy.

disappointing - scallop crudo far too citrusy and salted, super overpowering. The fuso da which was over cooked was incredible salty. who salts bacon?????
The tusi tots were like fried mashed potatoes not tater tots. A bit slimey. Mid caviar, and whole chives as a garnish. Consider chopping the chives, cheers
Loved all of it!

Had the burrata salad and it was amazing. The creamy burrata with pickled strawberries,
Pistachios, greens- all of it was amazing. For the main got the cannelloni and it was also delicious. They took classic dishes and put new and interesting flavors. Staff was very pleasant and helpful in recommending dishes. Highly recommend!

Food was ok. Too salty. Wings were kind of burned. Staff was super nice though.

We have visited 3 times now. The service is always the best part, they are so kind and lovely and attentive here. They make the guest feel special. The drinks are excellent. The cocktails are tasty and the wine selection is fab.
The food though has disappointed each time. The gnocchi chicken bake doesn’t have good flavor, it’s just cheesy heavy food you eat when hungover. The ricotta stuffed cannelloni is ok. The lamb meatballs didn’t taste like lamb at all and the pesto sauce didn’t have much flavor. The tuna melt was average. The arancini was also meh. I wish they upped their food game and then this place would be perfect!
