Amazing authentic Cambodian food owned by the sweetest couple. The restaurant decor is lovely but also a cozy vibe. The siem reap noodles are to die for. We got a mix of appetizers, curries, and basil friend rice. It was all 10/10 delicious. Service was great too.

I used to go to this place when it was called Angkor Cambodian Bistro during the pandemic. Same location, the same lovely owners, and the menu is pretty much the same (if not exactly the same). The food at Bayon is fantastic and exactly how I remember it at Angkor. The old restaurant was also written up in Michelin Bib Gourmand. So glad it's back!

So glad that this Cambodian restaurant opened up near my work! My friends and I were looking for something different than Maya's Happy hour after work, and were lucky enough to walk through the door right before the evening dinner rush. We were immediately impressed by the immaculate ambiance, with lots of wood paneling, a majestic Buddha statue, and tables set with origami flower napkins. I am fairly new to Cambodian food and appreciated how the spices were mild. The dishes we ordered had novel and powerful flavors. We got the Bahn Chao Crepe, Phnom Penh Roast Duck, and the Spicy Siem Reap Noodles with Beef. The Bahn Chao Crepe was a chewy glutinous rice flour egg crepe filled with minced shrimp, chicken, onions, bean sprouts. The strong flavors of the filling pair well with the refreshing lettuce wrap that you top with peanut and sauce. This was an interesting dish with contrasting textures and a fun way to start the meal. The roast duck with red curry coconut sauce was also delicious. The sweetness and tenderness of the duck paired with the red coconut curry made the dish indulgent. This was best enjoyed with rice though the small bowl that accompanied the dish was not enough and we had to order another. The noodle dish was great as well, though it didn't stand out as much as the other two dishes. The sweetness of the noodle reminds me a little of Thai Pad Kee Mao although the spices and sauces used are different. Overall, we had a great time at this restaurant and found all the food to be outstanding. It gets busy after 6PM so try to make a reservation!

A newly opened Cambodian upscale dining establishment, much improvement over the previous general asian spot. Really nice clean decor and table settings, rose napkin fold with formally dress wait staff standing by in attention. The fish cakes and crepe had unique flavors I loved. Amok is terrific version with soft egg and large tender filets. The duck was amazing, would be great with a little more crisp on the skin. Desserts were ok. Would definitely come back to try more from the menu.

This place offers top-notch Cambodian cuisine. From the vibrant flavors to the delightful textures and fresh ingredients, every dish exceeded our expectations. The mango salad was refreshing, the vegetable dumplings were perfectly crispy, and the beef was incredibly tender. Their curry with assorted fish was my favorite. The owners are warm and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for a delightful dining experience.

I was excited to try Bayon, as I love Cambodian food but don’t get to eat it much in New York. I was impressed by the Prahok Crudité (appetizer), as well as the grilled amok and Siem Reap noodles (mains). I also tried the loc lac, which was tasty, and the Phnom Penh duck, which was enjoyable but tasted similar to a panang curry you’d get at any good Thai restaurant. The hot rice pudding desserts, while not my go-to dish, tasted better than many other places I’ve tried them.Service was impeccable and the decor was lovely. In particular, the large paintings of Angkor Wat and the Cambodian countryside were genuinely mesmerizing— several notches finer than the typical temple paintings you see at restaurants of this type.Overall, I’d happily return and am excited that Manhattan once again has a Cambodian restaurant.

We're glad that this unique restaurant managed to return after COVID! The calm ambience, attentive staff, and fairly convenient location all complement the food, which was in a word, delicious! We started with the Prahok Crudite, which was a delectable tasting paired with fresh, snappy vegetables. We were warned that the flavor of the Prahok might be too strong, but we loved it anyway! We followed it with the shrimp and crab chowder, which was excellent on a cold day. It was a refreshing palate cleanser between the strong flavor of the Prahok and the frog's legs.We shared the deep fried frog's legs, which were tasty and interesting. The texture was somewhere between chicken and fish, with a mild, herby bitterness in the flesh. We'd definitely like to try the sauteed frogs legs on our next visit! Our only regret is that we were too full to try any of the desserts, haha! We'll just have to come back :D.Wheelchair accessibility: 3-4 stairs into the restaurant.

Everything was elegant, tasteful, flavorful, and delicious. From the service, to the atmosphere, to the food. The cumin lamb dumplings were hearty, yet delicate, served with a beautiful set of fresh and pickled toppings. The Nyoam was incredible—delightful mix of fresh and savory that I couldn’t get enough of. We finished with the banana “crepe” — delicious dipped in honey.
