Had specially requested to have them cut into third and third they were. They prove up to their claim of having 1 dollar slices. The person working there was laughing with us when they were cutting the pizza into thirds.

Went here today, and saw a sign that had 1$ pizza. I didn't believe it until i walked in. I got my slice fresh and hot and dusted it with pepper flakes. This was the best value slice i ever had, my friends and i went back for seconds and got a whole pie.

very well worth the price. me and my friends got a 1$ slice at first but came back for more. We got a pie and the guy who was at the counter cut our pizza pie into 3 perfect mega slices!!

I used to like going here but these days you get a slice of pizza crust with a slight dusting if cheese and wiped with just enough tomato sauce to give it a hint of color. It is not the great pizza it used to be.
If the pizza improves again so will my review but as it's been a slow downward slope I'm not holding my breath.

Still actually a dollar in 2024! A great dollar slice.
The pizza was pretty bad when they increased the price. I’m guessing they changed management or something as the price became 1 dollar again and there was actual marinara on the pizza. This spot was a 2 star before, now it’s a five! Bang for your buck! Don’t eat the veggie slices though, that’s why it’s a 4 star.
Vegetarian options: There are veggie pizzas along with a plain slice. They may make you sick though… As mentioned before I ate one and got sick.
Dietary restrictions: There are veggie pizzas. I ate a mushroom slices though and it gave me a stomachache though.
Parking: Don’t drive in NYC firstly, but if you must, there are no parking spots here usually. Godspeed.
Kid-friendliness: Very big slices. Your kid may not be able to eat all of their slice.
Wheelchair accessibility: Only entrance is via a small, short ramp.

It’s late, humid, and I’m leaving the club. I have 2 minutes until my uber comes, and 1 desire: pizza. But how? Where? That quick??
Enter BD Star Pizza. Almost as soon as the thought ‘pizza’ entered my mind, I had a hot slice in my hand. It was soft, doughy, and with the addition of chili flakes — perfectly spicy. And… get this… 99 freakin CENTS!!!
My uber driver didn’t allow me to bring it in his car. I respected that rule, and took the three biggest bites I possibly could, and bid adieu to the rest of that slice. I am typing this in the uber, thinking back with gratitude on the slice and the prompt service.
