This was our pre theatre choice for dinner. Place had a NYC vibe and hustle yet the staff could not have been nicer. Smiles, sense of humor and delivery of food in plenty of time to make the show. Food was very nice, pasta done perfectly, quite a feat with the large amount they were delivering. I'll definitely return.
Love this place for pre-theater dinner. Good food, huge portions, very reasonable prices for NYC. Attentive staff that knows about getting people out on time for the theater.
Just the best place to go with loved ones in NY! Food, drinks, and service are always top notch here!
Such a shame that parties of one are treated so poorly. We tip fairly but get such bad seating and service (ignored at best).
I hold Becca to the high standard they set for themselves. This visit didn't match up to the past. I opted for the unlimited pastas entree, and frankly only 1 was very good, 1 good and the third was kind meh ( My bolognese is better!) My dining mates enjoyed their meals, but the service was a bit distracted and not very special. I will visit again and give them another try
We had been to Becco before - food and service were superb as expected. Our table was ready when we arived; however, we were pinned in a two-seat table well within ear and eye shot of table next to us (less than 18 inches) - I would not have been able to easily get up if needed.
Really good italian meal, excellent service and wine for only $45/bottle! Hard to find a better value in NYC. Quiet atmospher which is good, because they have tight seating.
I was so excited to go to this restaurant! I am a faithful watcher of Lidia and thought this would be a wonderful Italian experience. It was not. The free appetizers including good Italian bread, olives and a spread were good and the highlight of the meal. We ordered the pumpkin soup and caesar salad for appetizers. The pumpkin soup was a thin, watery soup, slightly tasting of cinnamon. The casar salad was ok, however there were some brown lettuce pieces. My husband ordered the chicken with mushroom risotto, the chicken did not have any taste and the rissoto was thin and not good (I also tasted it). He had to buy ginger ale on the way back to the hotel as his stomach was upset. I had two appetizers as my entree, the meatballs with Sunday gravy and the polenta. The meatballs did not have much flavor, no garlic and the polenta with cheese and Prosciutto was ok. We ended up bagging the food and giving it away on the street to someone. I never write reviews but felt I had to write this one as I was really disappointed.
Los alimentos en buen sabor y sazón. El lugar agradable y su ambiente no ruidoso. Los sanitarios son insuficientes para el tamaño del lugar y cantidad de comensales.
Italian flavors are light years away from that place. They proposed a triptych of first courses and an inedible baked rooster

Great food, great atmosphere. Caesar at the bar took great care of me while dining alone on a Saturday night! He is amazing! Will be back!
Service and food were outstanding. The bar/waiting area was very cramped, but everything else was fantastic!
Second time I've entertained friends at Becco. Will be the last. Rude wait staff and not attentive. Made reservations had specific request. None were mentioned, and the party that arrived after us was being served ahead of us. Also requested the main dining area. Instead we were shoved in a tiny corner table by the kitchen, where we were constantly being tripped over with poor lack of service you can get Italian food anywhere. Disappointing for $300+ meal
I am torn about Becco these days. Personally I've been probably 10 times over the last 10 years. The last two times were so chaotic, so rushed, and quite unpleasant. It's almost stressful to eat there. The waiters basically have to yell so you can hear them, they rush you so much to order and almost taking your plates when you're still eating. I hate writing this because I have loved their food and restaurant but the last two times I took guests there and I was almost embarrassed because they did not enjoy themselves. My suggestion to Lidia is to tell everyone to take a deep breath and slow down. Let the guests enjoy.
Amazing food, service amd drinks!! Honestly the best meatballs o have ever had!!
