Choose to dine here per reviews.. Decided on the pasta trio, was not very impressed. I was looking for homemade pasta, two of the three types were not homemade. The atmosphere was nice , I like the team approach to service. Not sure if I would return when visiting NYC

The veal special was delicious, Mussells and calimari was fantastic, Even from the apple strudel dessert with coffee was off the hook, well done again

Red Sauce was too spicy in every dish. Veal piccata was more like veal Marsala. Zabligione was strawberry mousse. Unlimited pasta was regulated. I wasn’t allowed to taste my friend’s dish. Etc.

First time dining at Becco. Opted to sit at the bar rather than taking up space solo at a table.Cecil is a gracious bartender. Was looking forward to a Peroni, not one italian beer offered. So i went with a Von Trapp Dunkel Lager from Vermont. Tasty. Cecil told me he worked there for 20 years and theyve never offered even one italian beer.Started off with the Carpaccio! Not easy to find these days.Ordered the Osso Buco alla Becco. Its the house specialty. It comes with a house Ceasar Salad. Between the arugula on the Carpaccio and the Ceasar salad, I ate a month's worth of ruffage I nomally consume! The Osso Buco did not disappoint. Delicioso!

Great pre- theatre restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious! Our party had pork chops, veal piccata, salmon & lemon chicken entrees with salad- 5/5!! Service was knowledgeable , friendly & pretty attentive. We were a party of 5 & were seated in the busy ( and loud) back room. As we left- I realized the other parts of the restaurant were much brighter & quieter! I will definitely return with a smaller party & request these areas.

I'm a big fan of Lidia Bastianich restaurants and this one was right on par. I appreciated that they had a vegetarian substitute on the pasta trio, and all the options were delicious. The waiter was sensitive to our timetable before a Broadway show. He was visibly disappointed that we didn't order alcohol, tried to convince us to order some twice more (eventually we politely told him that someone at the table is in recovery so the answer was firmly no), and then he was very scarce from our table after that. We didn't see him again until the check came, which is odd, usually they check on you during the meal at least once.Overall it was a good value meal and a convenient option before a show.
