Bar Carlyle !! What a magical place !! Classic NYC bar! What can beat live Jazz with complimentary snack plate filled with nuts, crackers and Idk I forgot the other one …lol !!! drinks are great and sliders yummy , that cheese melts in your mouth with the sweet taste of caramelized onions 😅😅
On my bucket list as a life long NYer. We went on a random Sunday after after a museum. Had a lovely chat with an Australian at the bar. Loved the murals and the atmosphere. It's pricey so be aware!
Stopped at Bemelmans Bar after the Met. Dress code enforced, no shorts, no flip flops, collared shirt after 5:30 p.m. Nearly turned away, managed to slip in. Ordered a martini listed around $30, but with tax and tip the tab reached $50. Pricey, yes, but here it feels like the cost of admission to a piece of living history.
