Very disappointed with the ribeye, which was loaded with fat and gristle. Very small amount of enjoyable meat from such a large steak, very disappointing. My wife had the seafood pasta with white sauce and the small lobster was very tough and chewy, maybe overcooked? The one waiter could have been friendlier. Had a long wait after my initial drink and didn't see him for quite awhile given the place was fairly empty. Not worth what I paid for sure.
Ben and Jack's never fails me when taking a large group to Dinner. From the greeting at the front door to the attentive service, and the great food and the way it is served to everyone in your party. It Can Not Be Beat. All of my guests always walk away feeling great.
The meal was delicious. The only disappointment was the dessert. We got the carrot cake and it was terrible. Unfortunately we have not been able to find a good tasting dessert here.
Came here during restaurant week and decided to return for a small birthday dinner for my husband with our adult daughter. Staff was so accommodating in letting me bring in a cake early for the surprise. I had the delicious lamb chops. Birthday boy had raw oysters then sirloin steak. So did my daughter. Food was delicious. Our server was so attentive and kind. He brought out the cake with candles and the whole restaurant sang to my very surprised hubby! We had a blast. My new favorite steakhouse.
It's a good old fashioned steak house with giant steaks. However, NYC has a LOT of these still. So the decor and vibe at a Quality Meats, Capital Grill, or JG steakhouse is a bit hipper and fresher. And for an old fashioned vibe, you might like S&W Or Peter Lugars a bit more. So good, not amazing. I will say the dessert selection is quite wide, so save room.
Their sirloin steak is now my best steak ever. Ben & Jack's displaced Fleming's in Dayton from 2016. Medium temp with crispy outside that was still sizzling when brought to my table and expertly presented and transferred from the hot serving dish to my heated dish. Side of peas and carrots was an old fashioned choice but coupled with their organic house vodka in a dirty martini was an updated complement that saved just enough room for the chocolate mousse with schlage that I got to go for enjoyment in a few hours. Top ratings to Ben & Jack's!

My friends and I tried this restaurant for the first time and we all ordered the food from the restaurant week menu. I chose the French onion soup for the appetizer, the strip stake for the main and the cheesecake for the desert. I usually cannot finish up the stake but I did eat it up! Their stake was very juicy and tasty. I have been to lots of famous stake house but I thought their stake was #1! My friends agreed and they enjoyed the meal. The waiter was very friendly and professional and the manager came up to our table to check how we enjoyed the food. I think I def go back there!

Nothing special about the food and the meat and fries had different taste probably because of different type of oil which made me feel uncomfortable :(

Staying at Wyndham Midtown Manhattan and upon checking in, the receptionist recommended Ben and Jack steakhouse. True enough this is the best steakhouse in Manhattan and I enjoyed so much my sirloin steak which melts in my mouth that’s how good the steak is and my wife had the grilled salmon which was also perfectly grilled!!! The raspberry cheesecake is the best and highly recommended. Restaurant staff are courteous, knowledgeable and highly attentive on your needs. This is a 5 star steakhouse and would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Ben and Jack steakhouse for making my night a perfect one. Thanks Wyndham for the recommendation!!!!

We absolutely loved this restaurant not only for their restaurant week dinners but above all the service! A gentleman named Dino was one that left a mark on our lives for good! He went above and beyond to host us, make our evening there an unforgettable one and gave extra care to our precious daughter who fell ill and our little one who was up past his bedtime! Truly the restaurants greatest asset indeed! The atmosphere was very nice and peaceful filled with an aroma to open anyone’s appetite! Highly recommend! We will most certainly be back!
