The restaurant initially seemed nice, despite us not receiving menus after being seated; we eventually had to ask for them. No big deal. We ordered glasses of wine, which were good, and the portions were satisfying—not like in some places where the wine barely covers the bottom of the glass.
The food was decent. We both ordered cheeseburgers, requesting medium rare, but they came out closer to medium. Still, they were pink inside. The service was also good overall. So everything was fine—until it came time to pay. We split the check and paid with credit cards. When we got the receipts, we saw they had charged us a 3.99% card transaction fee!
What? We’ve both lived in New York for years and have never encountered a restaurant charging a card transaction fee! When we asked about it, we were told it’s just their policy and that it’s written on the bill. Yes, it turned out there was a small note about it on the receipt, but who actually reads all the fine print? Most people only look at the total, the tax, and maybe any service charge.
If they’re charging a fee (and that high!) for credit card transactions, they should say so. Tell customers upfront, don’t hide it on the final bill where many won’t even notice until it’s too late. Clearly, this is a tactic to keep customers in the dark; they know people wouldn’t be happy if they found out before ordering.
It’s disappointing. It feels like the owner is not only charging high prices but trying to squeeze out extra from customers through hidden fees. We definitely won’t be going back, and if I ever encounter this again, I’ll deduct the fee amount from the tip—I hope then servers will reconsider working in places that use such practices.

This is a cute place but honestly there is nothing unique about the food, the drinks or the service. The wine list had very few options, the food was standard, nothing special given that your are in New York, and the service was sub par. We were not made to feel welcome, we were rushed when there were open tables, and the waiter brought the check while we were still finishing our drinks. I asked to have the salmon fully cooked, not raw or dark pink in the center, and guess what - it was raw in the center and I had to eat around the edges. Advice to readers, pick someplace more special and unique.

A lovely dinner outing for a casual or special occasion. Went with a group of nine and our server, host and all others were courteous and great guides for our dining experience.
Top recommendations Mac and Cheese. Oysters. Fries were beautifully done. Mains include carbonara, an array of steaks, chicken parm and various sides. A nice espresso martini. Only issue was we overdid it and failed to reserve room for dessert but enjoyed a lovely limencello finish.

The steak was cooked perfectly for my husband. I requested blue cheese dressing for my salad and it was no problem. The carrots were delicious.
The chicken was pounded thin and was good. The bread was not hot is my only complaint.
We had the pear tart for dessert which was great.
Overall a great experience. And we would return.

Service and food was excellent. Lobster appetizer was a whole lobster. Beet salad with goat cheese excelled. Best French onion soup. Not salty and a hint of sherry. Can't go wrong

Just few facts.
I went because the reviews were good.
1. Recommended because they said the seafood pasta was good > I was surprised because it wasn't on the menu, but since they said it was good, I thought how expensive seafood pasta could be, so I ordered it, and when I got the bill, it was $55.95. It wasn't topped with lobster, caviar or truffle, just 4 shrimp, 3 lilies, mussels and squid. The most expensive pasta of my life. Even the most expensive pasta on the menu is risotto with lobster > 39.95.
For reference, the sirloin steak was also 55.95. This isn't written on the menu, so I think it's just a trick.
2. They give you all the bread before the meal, but they don’t give it to you. When I asked why they didn't give it to me, they said I needed it. Then, he said he would give it to him and brought it to the other team along with bread. He held butter in his hand, then threw the bread and gave the other team the butter he was holding. When I asked why they didn't give me butter, they said they would give it to me if I needed it.
3. When I received the bilge, I added 2 menu items that I didn't even order, adding 20+9 for a total of 29 dollars. > I said I didn't order it and received it again. If I hadn't checked, I would have just lost 50,000 won. (Thanks for looking closely because I was dumbfounded when I saw the price of pasta.)
4. I ordered a New York sirloin steak, but honestly, it was so tough from the first bite that it felt delicious. 0 (no emotions) I chewed it and spat it out at the last minute. A bit of a sore jaw.
These are the things that are really worth writing about objectively. please refer to this. It was my first meal in New York and it was very... ..
