Bep Ga, a nice humble restaurant tucked away on Forsyth Street adjacent to the Sara D. Roosevelt Park on Grand Street. A traditional Vietnamese restaurant with modest offerings, best known for their Pho Ga, chicken pho noodles. The soup is pretty clean and full of flavor, the order comes in a small bowl but the combination of the soup and the flavorful ginger fish sauce elevates this dish to the top of the game. The bowl of noodles leaves you wanting more and the best way to finish the meal is with a Vietnamese Iced Coffee. Will definitely revisit this gem of a restaurant in Chinatown. Service by Anh, friendly staff member at the restaurant.

We ordered the chicken and rice, and the rice paper salad. The 1st was becaude it was the most popular dish, the latter was because it was the favorite of the person who worked there. I'm glad I asked because WHOA! It was tasty!! Both were, but that rice paper salad has convinced me to come back and try everything on the menu. I honestly would have never ordered it if it was up to me. It was so surprising. A medley of textures and tastes (sweet, sour, salty). Perfectly balanced.

Doesn't matter if food is good or not if your aren't going to wear a face mask while making and packing the food.... Might change this review after I try the food. Going to first heat the crap out of it in microwave before consuming.Update: I got the chicken rice, chicken was not moist, and very skimpy on the chicken. Rice was meh..., nothing special. The sauce was a sweet shallot flavored sauce that's not bad. I wouldn't go there again. For $13, you are better off getting 2 huge lunch boxes across the park at wah fung, better chicken, better food! Lol, the Fung bros disappointed me!

The pho is ordinary. I actually recommend the chicken rice dish, but overall it's a simple and basic vietnamese joint. Worth a visit though because Chinatown doesn't have enough vietnamese joints.

This is the place that you can get authentic vietnamese food! Absolutely wonderful home cooked food. The chicken salad is fresh and healthy with great balance of sweetness. The Chicken rice is your go-to, just like how it is served in hoi an! Those little heroes like lime leaves, vietnamese tiny chilli (ớt chỉ thiên) or the vietnamese coriander (smaller leaves and stems) are what make a difference! Oh and kudos to those imported red/blue plastic chairs and table cloth, the owner has really brought in a mini scene of Vietnamese street food. ??

It's fine, it could just be better. When this place first opened, my husband and I were going in all the time. At least once a week. Slowly, the quality deteriorated, so we stopped going. We decided to give it a chance again, and can't believe that it has gotten even worse. My chicken rice plate barely had any chicken, as well as my chicken salad. Ingredients even seem lower in quality, and less care is put into the dishes making it subpar. Wish the quality and care was the same as when it first opened. Bummed.

Wow, the chicken here really is something! Not sure if I've ever had poached meat that was so fresh, light in flavor & texture (yet delicious!), soft and tender. I ordered the chicken rice / com ga hoi ($12) last Friday and was pretty impressed. The rice, however, was a little disappointing. It felt dry, bottom of the barrel-like. It actually might've been though, because when I went to go pick it up I heard the owner regretfully tell someone that they were out of chicken rice... I guess I managed to cop the very last one? The spicy chili sauce brought the whole dish altogether, making the dry rice decent and the chicken even tastier.Pho w/ chicken didn't sound very appealing to me at first, but now that I've had the chicken at Bep Ga, I'm v curious about it!

One of my preferred places for delicious vietnamese food. Nice location to meet with family. Certainly worth going back to. Food is like a restaurant in Jacksonville I liked.

Wife and I Came here after a youtube video she watched on the toilet on her recommended feed. This place did not disappoint. Got the pho ga, hoi an chicken rice and banh mi, All of which were excellent. Their limeade drink is the bomb too, we had three of those. We ended up getting an order to go as well. Felt like a fatty but was definitely worth it. Owner is a great guy too and seem to love what he does. Give this place your support

Love the decor vibes. Food is aromatic and good, comforting when you're sick. I come here often :)

Maybe I caught them on a bad day but the chicken rice dish was super bland and dry. I couldn't finish the dish and ended up throwing away 70% of the meal.

When a restaurant only offers 4 dishes, you'd expect that they're all good and that's exactly what Bep Ga is. It's comfort food for sure. My only qualm is that they don't have a bathroom... However, for the quality and price, I'd definitely return.

Not sure why there are so many good reviews. The chicken pho here couldn't pass for chicken pho if it didn't have it on the menu and chicken bits in it. The broth had no chicken flavor and was overly sweet and fish saucey, if you know what I mean.

We've been on a Vietnamese food tear across NYC after 2.5 weeks in Vietnam. Bep Ga was a mediocre self-serve spot, despite awkward pressure to tip 18%+. Really cute decor and ambiance, but there's more authentic, cheaper Vietnamese options all around Chinatown -- Nam Son, Pho Bang, Saigon Shack even. Bep Ga's Pho Ga (Chicken Pho) is heavy on noodles with not enough broth. When we asked for more broth, the staff said no!Annann
