Excellent food and excellent service always served here, in a welcoming atmosphere with moderate noise level!
Great venue, service and food. Some of the best French cuisine we have eaten. We will definitely return when in NYC again.
This is a lovely, relaxed, intimate French restaurant. We love the regular menu and the specials are outstanding. It's our local favorite.

Always a pleasure to dine at Bistro Vendome. Relaxed atmosphere, excellent French menu and friendly serve. Enjoyable!
Solid meal. Service was lacking and restaurant space is dated and not especially impressive. But the food was very decent.

Always great! My kids love the tartars and I love cold poached salmon and the duck salad special was great
Last night was one of the best dinners my wife and I have had for some time. Why? The seasonal special soft shell crabs were divine; my scallops were terrific, as always; the CA Sauvignon Blanc was delightful; and the desert apple tatin was a great way to conclude our evening.
We have dined here many times and the food has always been delicious. Last night however my wife ordered the duck confit and it was very disappointing. Even the potatoes were greasy and not good.
From the very first "bonsolr" you know you are really welcomed and valued as a diner at Bistro Vendome! we had the good fortune that night of eating on the outdoor terrace, which is a very lovely setting on a nice summer evening;. The wine list is excellent with many good choices... Albarino and the sincerre, particularly appealing and highly rated. The menu offered lots of options, with mussels always excellent and really "French Fires" the way they should be. My Bronzino was perfectly coked, with an excellent accompaniment of finely chopped seasonal vegetables, including artichokes. The Amish chicken, one of my favorites, is always perfectly cooked. Service is attentive, easy, and not intrusive, and "madam" is always there to bring the French charm to every table. Don't miss the profiteroles, The fact that is is our "go to" restaurant, is rewarded because the food is so well prepared. In most months, especially winter, the onion soup is a must, as well as the confit and escargot!

Wonderful shrimp cocktail, onion soup and apple tart. Lovely service. Nice ambiance. Fqavorite neighborhood spot.
Bistro Vendome is an outstanding restaurant. Professional and friendly with high quality, well-prepared food. Excellent in all respects.
As always, the food was delicious. But at 8PM they were out of several y items including one of my favorites, Branzino. They had Mussels only Provencal style. My great nephew had just flown in from Phoenix and I wanted him to enjoy my favorite neighborhood restaurant. I didn't like that his choices were limited.
Lovely evening outside on the terrace. Perfect weather, wonderful meal, ending with my favorite dessert, Trou Normande. My fave restaurant in my neighborhood, always a happy experience.
Wonderful French bistro fare in an efficient, non-fussy environment. Superior wait staff and gracious management. Excellent neighborhood gem.
