A Sutton Place Gem. The new French in the neighborhood can't come close to the food and charm.

First visit to Bistro Vendome having just moved to this neighborhood. Wonderful smells greet you when you enter the front door (always a good sign). Menu was appropriate, the food was excellent, the service was attentive and the ambiance was pleasant. My wife and I plan to be regular patrons. If you like elegant French cuisine at a reasonable price, Bistro Vendome is a smart choice.
Incredible experience!!! Every plate was delicious and delicate, went to celebrate my birthday…our server Rodrigo did an awesome job!! The onion soup is a must try.

Genuinely French food, by a French chef/owner and most waiters are French - does it get any better?! Consistently tasty. Not pretentious. Always packed with locals. We live close by and go there often and have never been disappointed. Their duck confit hits the spot - it tastes and is prepared just like in France. Our other 2 favorites are the scallops and the Thai mussels. Top!

This was our third visit. Probably our last. Too many tables too close together make dining very unpleasant having to listen to Manhattan loudmouths. Although food is exellent, portions are too small given the prices. Too bad as the ambiance is great and the staff is very attentive and professional.
Great spot in our neighborhood! Sat outside on the back patio. It was so nice and quiet. Will definitely return!
The food and wait staff were great. The only negative was that it was a very warm day, and we were sitting inside but right next to the outside patio, and we were uncomfortable.
Loveliest place to sit, we sat outside on the backyard terrace, so nice! The food was very hood Nd the staff kind snd attentive.

My friend and have lunch here a few times a year. This week we arrived at 1245 and it was rather quiet due to the bad weather.
Our waiter was very attentive to our table and very pleasant.
We decided to both order the chicken Caesar salad. It was very nice. The lettuce was fresh and crispy and the chicken was cooked perfectly.
We each had a glass of wine.
To finish off our lunch, we decided to share a crème brûlée and it was wonderful.
A very nice and quiet dining experience.

Absolutely fantastic! From the decor, the friendly, attentive and knowledgeable waiters, to the fabulous food, Bistro Vendôme is must for those who enjoy French cuisine. If you'd like to try fine French food, this is the place to start! I loved the Baked Mussels Provençale. I had the Mussels and a salad as my entrée and that was perfect for me. For dessert, get the Floating Island. The outdoor seating made for a memorable summer evening. I'll be overjoyed to return someday!

This is truly a neighborhood gem. Everything about it is just right. We live in the neighborhood and come here often. Gourmet comfort food.
Excellent food and excellent service always served here, in a welcoming atmosphere with moderate noise level!
Great venue, service and food. Some of the best French cuisine we have eaten. We will definitely return when in NYC again.
This is a lovely, relaxed, intimate French restaurant. We love the regular menu and the specials are outstanding. It's our local favorite.
