Food was great! The New Yorker shake is to die for!! The service was a little lackluster they took a while to come and bring us out our food and it even took a while to place our order after we got seated and handed menus. But we will definitely be back!

I’ve had three meals here and they have all been excellent. I recommend anyone travelling to NYC pay a visit. You won’t be disappointed

On our fourth day in New York, we had a reservation at Black Tap, a place known for its burgers and over-the-top milkshakes. With a solid 4.5 stars on Google, expectations were pretty high — and overall, it didn’t disappoint.

This isn’t a fancy restaurant by any means. The vibe is urban and loud, with hard wooden benches, upbeat music, and a trendy crowd. If you’re looking for a quiet dinner, this isn’t your spot — but if you’re after good food and fun energy, it delivers.

The food? Tasty and satisfying, though not the best burger I’ve had in the U.S. I went for The Texan, while others tried The Champ with blue cheese. All well-cooked and flavorful. The best part? The prices are surprisingly reasonable — for once, we didn’t feel like we were being robbed in New York. Generous portions, too.

We skipped the famous signature milkshakes (the ones topped with cake) because we were already too full, but the regular shakes were still excellent.

Overall, Black Tap is a fun, lively, and affordable burger joint that hits the spot. Come hungry — and maybe bring earplugs.

I had a burger and it was AMAZING! The cups there are really small though and filled with ice, just drink water instead. I ordered a Brooklyn Blackout shake and OMG it was incredible. Piled high with chocolate chips and whipped cream, and it had brownies sticking out of the side. Highly recommend. This place is awesome and the vibe is incredible.

We were a walk in family of four. We were told that they could not take walk ins until after 9:30 PM unless we had a reservation. Understood. We went online and made a reservation for 9 PM and went for a long stroll in the city. We arrived at 9 PM for our reservation to be told that we would have to wait at least 30 minutes.

I probably should have gotten the burger instead of a sandwich but the fries was just ok, and the sandwich was way too oily to eat. Took one bite was not good at all.
