Slate Coffee is a hidden gem in the heart of New York City. We stopped by for a quick break and ended up staying longer than expected simply because of how cozy and calming the space felt. The coffee was excellent — smooth, rich, and clearly made with care. You can tell they take their craft seriously.

Great food and very attentive service. I came in to work because an online round-up mentioned it was a good coffee shop to WFH from, but the atmosphere on a hot summer day was atrocious. The air conditioning doesn't seem to work, and I spent $14 on an egg scramble just to run away from the heat 25 minutes later to find some new place to park for the day. Something to keep in mind!
