Shinpi Omakase Reviews
Absolutely amazing omakase. Detail of service is impeccable here they are constantly changing your drinks plate ware and ensuring you have a clean napkin and eating space. Portions are generous the fish is so well cut a great ratio of fish to rice and the toppings are not overwhelming and quality is so apparent in the nature of service. One of the best omakases I've been to in my 6+ years living in Manhattan. Thank you Shinpi Omakase
Shinpi is 10/10 without doubt. Bar seating lets you watch the chef prepare each piece live, and he’s happy to share details about every seafood selection. The vibe is calm and super cozy, service is friendly and welcoming. They serve premium uni straight from Japan, which tastes absolutely incredible. The full tasting menu delivers consistent outstanding bites from start to finish. Will definitely return again and again!👍🏻👍🏻
I had a wonderful dining experience here. The sushi was exceptionally fresh, and every piece was generously sized. The highlight for me was definitely the uni sushi, the portion of sea urchin was very generous, and it tasted amazing. I left feeling completely satisfied. The restaurant was spotless, and the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. The staff were very polite, attentive, and friendly throughout the meal. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys high-quality...read full review

Shinpi Omakase is a highly-recommended restaurant known for its fresh ingredients and creative twists on classic dishes. Located strategically near Penn Station and K-Town, it draws a diverse crowd, including overseas students. The chefs work simultaneously to cater to small groups, providing exceptional service while swapping and cleaning plates in a timely manner. The 15-piece Omakase remains a standout, delivering a memorable dining experience. Customers praise the amazing sushi, the enthusiastic and attentive chefs, and the reasonable pricing. Notably, the presentation of dishes, like the gold sprayed nigiri, adds to the appeal.
The restaurant offers a magical experience near 33rd street/K town. Customers can pick an 18-course Omakase and enjoy a selection of beers and sake. The Wagyu steak is a favorite, melting in the mouth with a slight graceful smoky flavor. The creative seafood items, such as an appetizer of oyster, uni, caviar, and fish roe, are novel and offer a delightful umami experience. While the nigiri items may be average, they are still reasonably good considering the price. The chef, Eric, is known for his fun and engaging interaction with customers, adding to the great vibes.
