Lovely creative restaurant that offers many different kinds of dishes. We got the lasagna and pistachio covered tofu - they were both delicious and unique. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated. Our waiter was also nice. The only thing I did not appreciate was the fact I ordered a Diet Coke and got the drink in the picture instead.

Went for a Saturday brunch. Though had booked the a table in advance, it was not crowded. The food was really good specially nachos and pesto pizza. They have some good soy free options too. Staff was courteous. Outdoor seating is too small for a group of 4 or 5 people. Recommend indoors for bigger groups. In all, great place for vegan food.

The food was honestly not that great, and the “special” pistachio dusted tofu was a disappointment. Great service, cute quiet zen ambiance but will not be returning

This place is way overpriced for mostly pretty average food. I came here for brunch on my birthday with my boyfriend and a friend. I ordered a Bloody Mary (which was the main reason I chose this place over other vegan brunch spots- I really wanted a Bloody Mary on my birthday). I found my drink to be kind of strange, like it felt like I was just drinking salsa mix rather than a tangy and peppery Bloody Mary. I'm giving this place three stars because I ordered the Tofu Benedict and liked it, but my boyfriend and friend both didn't like their dishes, and when I tasted them I could see why. The country breakfast was a fairly simple tofu scramble with a side salad. Not horrible but not up to the expectation of a place that charges $20 for brunch plates. I also didn't love the coffee. The service was good, but I would probably skip this place the next time I'm in New York.

Excellent experience overall. Impressive California Kosher wine that tasted like it was from Burgundy. The Parsnip Ravoli and Artichokes were stunning appetizers and the Pistachio dusted tofu was a beautiful dish. I've not been to this Blossom, but it was gorgeous. Oh, the Gimlet was great too!

Went here for Sunday brunch as a group of 5 and had made reservations. It was moderately busy on a Sunday afternoon and noise levels were on the quieter side. We were given a very comfortable 5 people couch seating in the restaurant closer to the bar. After receiving our menus, we waited for a good 11-14 minutes for us to flag someone down to take our order, which included Kebab ($15), Nachos ($18), Parsnip Ravioli ($16), and Truffle Mashed Potato ($8) for small bites/appetizers. The Ravioli and Nachos were ok, but the Kebab's were very tasty! It felt like real meat!We shared our mains which included a Blossom Burger ($21) and a Pesto Pizza ($23) - both were really delicious and the tapioca cheddar and soy bacon were an absolute surprise in terms of taste and appearance in a very good way! While the service was a little slow at the beginning it picked up throughout our stay. One thing we did not like was an automatic gratuity of 20% on a table of 5, where our fifth person was our 2 year old who wasn't really served! That was a little disappointing and we would've liked the option to choose our gratuity. Overall, an excellent experience though.

This place was so good! The wait staff was great and the food was delicious. We ordered the ravioli which was amazing as well as the Caesar salad and gnocchi. So delicious. You’d never know this place was all vegan! Oh yes and the tiramisu was amazing as well. Highly recommend.

Food (4/5) - For vegan fare, this was honestly really good food. Especially the rainbow latkes - the sear was beautifully done and the carrots added a beautiful color the dish. The sauce was also nice, light, not too salty, kind of like tzatziki. I was not as impressed by the blistered shishito peppers - they were blistered but didn't have a nice char to them, and were mostly on the flavorless side unless I dipped them generously in the sauce (which was really good, mustard-based). My friend got the country breakfast - a tofu scramble with a variety of vegetables, and apple-seitan sausage. Will definitely say that the seitan sausage was really good! I also love seitan so I may be biased. The tofu scramble was also good, he thought it tasted just like eggs. Ambiance (4/5) - Was almost a little too bright indoors because there was a skylight near our table. Otherwise it was bright, airy and there was plenty of seating. The tables were a little on the small side and our plates barely fit (they're round). There was outdoor seating available too. Service (4/5) - the waitstaff came by really often and also swooped in right after our plates got taken away to ask if we wanted dessert. It was attentive but almost too much so, and we felt a little hurried even though there was so much empty seating around the restaurant. Pricing (4/5) - not the priciest but also not cheap - everything on the menu was ~$18-20 for lunch and more than that for entrees. Sides were around $10 apiece.

This place has been on my list for ages and I am so glad I finally tried it! was able to try a few dishes and enjoyed them all. The legendary jackfruit tacos were probably the highlight for me. They were really flavorful and fresh with pickled onions and green salsa and managed to be satisfying without being heavy the way seitan and other meat substitutes sometimes are. The pistachio-dusted tofu dish was innovative and enjoyable; I loved the bed of lemon-truffle crème. The sweet-potato filled crepe rounded it out into a filling dish. The 10-vegetable stir fry was the least memorable thing we ordered, but it was still good. Not sure if I counted 10 different vegetables, but I appreciated the light, healthy twist on vegetable fried rice (with farro instead of rice). I also had the hot chai which is made either with oat or soy milk. It came out a little cold but tasted good. The space is also really nice with plentiful indoor and outdoor seating. Overall, Blossom was a really nice experience with prices that are a little on the high side, but the attention to detail, good service, and nice surroundings makes it worth it. Would be a great spot for date night or a group dinner or even just a quiet lunch.

Came on a double date here with one vegan (me), a former vegan, and two die hard meat eaters. We ordered shishito peppers, roasted cauliflower, seitan au poivre, nachos, lasagna, and pesto pizza. I think my favorite thing was the pesto pizza- had great overall flavor, and I didn't really mind the vegan cheese as I usually do. I think the crust could have been crispier- it was more of a soft breast crust, but it was still yummy. Tied for favorite could also be the lasagna- I've had it before, and if never disappoints. Full of yummy veggies and super saucy. Not insanely cheesy too, which I like. The seitan wasn't breaded which isn't my favorite, and it was a little rubbery, but the gravy was delicious and we still finished the plate. The fries were quite good. The shishito peppers were a little bit disappointing, as they were not blistered whatsoever and lacked salt. The nachos were best fresh and hot, and were made of a thicker pita type chip not corn. Pretty good, but i have had better vegan nachos elsewhere. Roasted cauliflower was great, herby and lemony. All in all a great place to bring vegans and nonvegans with great service and atmosphere.

First time here and it was great! Staff was very friendly and attentive. It had a cozy atmosphere inside that I could have stayed hours in. Food was prepared quickly and was quite tasty. Next time I come I will definitely be trying something new from their innovative menu.

My boyfriend used to enjoy Blossom when it was on 9th Street in Chelsea. They've since closed down some restaurants and now have two locations, one on Columbus (on the Upper West Side) and one on University just south of Union Square. Whereas the old Blossom was in a fairly dark space, the now location is well-lit and airy. The menu is divided into shareable bites (like the lovely garlic bread we had), small plates, medium plates, and large plates. We also split a Caesar salad with shiitake bacon; the parsnip ravioli, which was very good, but could have used a sauce; and the seitan piccata, which had a bold lemon flavor that I loved. The food was as delicious as I remember from the old place, and the service also nice. I definitely want to come back to Blossom the next time I'm in New York.

Came here for a friend's birthday dinner with a sour attitude because I'm not a vegan (LOL jk, I was happy to be celebrating her bday, ily). BUT, I had a great experience and was surprised at how delicious all the food was! I've noticed all/most vegan restaurants have the same airy and light decor that screams health and wellness. Just an observation I don't remember all the dishes we had but I do have photo proof I had vegan food. I personally had the burger (did I mention it's a vegan burger) and it was delicious. Of course I had the shocked, gasp, eyes-wide-open moment saying "it tastes just like meat!". Don't worry I hate me too. It was a great experience overall but I don't think I can wear the badge of veganism just yet. However this spot definitely made me more open to trying other vegan restaurants!

A great variety of flavourful dishes. Portions were generous too. My favourite was the pistachio dusted tofu which was served on a nice root vegetable crepe. The gnocchi was yummy too. The stir fry while good was on the salty side. Overall lovely restaurant with friendly service.

Four of us went to Blossom on University for a Saturday brunch. Two of us had Eggs Benedict and two had the Seitan Piccata. All of our meals were delicious. We shared the Tiramisu, apple dumplings, and chocolate peanut butter pie. The desserts were wonderful; in fact, the Tiramisu was the best I have ever had, vegan or otherwise. The waiter was charming and gave us excellent service, and the manager was friendly and attentive. It is now our favorite NYC restaurant.
