Hands down the best brunch spot in nyc. We come every morning we are here. Everything is so good but we always get the huevos rancheros and blueberry pancakes. The service is always so welcoming - special shout out to Augustine!

Blue Dog Cookhouse is a cozy gem on W. 50th St. that serves a nice varied menu of pastas, seafood, burgers and also brunch every day. We went for dinner and Travis, the manager, was very welcoming while seating us. Our drinks were well-crafted and timely, and the chicken dumplings appetizer was fantastic - great flavor and beautifully presented. The seared Atlantic salmon with citrus infusion and quinoa was deliciously tangy; the pan seared thyme chicken was very juicy and served with sauteed spinach and mashed potatoes; the crusted Ahi tuna with balsamic glaze was as excellent as I'd hoped and was paired well with wasabi mashed potatoes. A side of hand-cut fries was also very well made and devoured by the table. I'm onlky sorry I didn't take photos of the meal! Our server Darwin kept the meal moving nicely, a feat in the close quarters there. We suggest reservations, especially if you're going to the nearby New World Theater. The Blue Dog is definitely worth a visit!

We had a fantastic dinner at Blue Dog before a show. Our server Augustine was helpful and attentive and pointed us in the right direction with food and drinks. The beet salad he recommended was divine and the ahi was delish. We won’t skip this spot next time we’re in town!
