The Blue Dog is a small space but the food is fantastic! Hubby and I shared the chicken dumplings (very flavorful with a delightful ponzu sauce) and the spinach artichoke dip (generous portion with rosemary crostini - staff were quick to bring us extra crostini when it was clear we were going to need a few more). Hubby ordered the bouillabaisse (he loved it - said the seafood was incredibly fresh and the base soup was incredibly good) and I had the chitarra alle vongole - a square cut spaghetti with clams in a light sauce (the chimaera was perfectly cooked al dente and the clams were sooooo good). We had a terrific meal and had a nice chat with a couple sitting next to us. This is a small restaurant so be prepared to be chummy with the neighboring tables. We will definitely be back - need to try the grilled octopus and the braised short ribs. Highly recommend!
Food was okay we got several appetizers :Mac and cheese balls(very good and tasty), deviled eggs(bland for my liking), crispy rice salmon(rice was too crispy), chicken dumplings(excellent) and guacamole (needed more flavor). I also got the scallops dish, if scallops are on the menu I always get it. But this was very chewy and the sauce around the rice was very sour. Manager told me he would take something off the bill but he never did. Also, they automatically add the gratuity on the bill for parties of 4 or more. There were 4 of us. Our waiter was not very attentive to us. We had to ask to see the dessert menu and then again ask for the bill.
We didn't know going in that most of the seating is at one long table in the center of a very small room. It was tight, especially for the taller members of our party. That said, the food and service were great and we enjoyed our meal.
The variety of the menu was exceptional. The food that came out was a five star presentation. Highly recommend the s'mores pancakes and Oreo waffle for the table on top of whatever you order.
Food was good (for brunch) but this is a very small space. We ended up a "family style" type table with other groups right next to us which was a bit odd and felt cramped. Service was OK but the smoothies we ordered didn't come out until our meal was basically done. Chicken abd Waffles, Oreo Crusted Waffles, and Blueberry Pancakes were all excellent dishes. I might go again solo or with 1 other person but it wasn't great for our family with 2 preteens.
A really pleasant experience. Amazing staff/service. Food was yummy. Small place and was packed, felt tight, and fairly noisy, but I'd go back.
First time diner. Perfect early evening dinner hang. Food was amazing with service impeccable. Will go back.
Ute place with very nice and attentive staff. Drinks were mispriced in the menu but not too much more than it said.
Food was delicious. Service upbeat and courteous from front door to server. My party of 3 all had different pasta dishes. We would have licked the plates if we could. The fried calamari starter was enough for all. The only negative and not that bad was that this is a small space and a bit noisy so sitting across from my friends was a bit hard to hear but I'd definitely recommend and will be going back.

We arrived with a reservation for two, but they didn't have a table available, so they seated us at the bar. The host said they'd bring us something on the house, but that never happened either. The drinks were decent and the bartender was pleasant, but the food was pretty disappointing
We always look forward to eating at Blue Dog. Yummy blueberry pancakes and a great spinach poached eggs with hollandaise sauce. And our server Luke made the meal a lot of fun.
Cocktails were amazing. Isaac, the bartender, went above and beyond at making our drinks. Then the food. Wow! I ordered a burger and so delicious! For apps, I ordered the crispy rice salmon and mac'n cheese balls. Both were sooo good. Absolutely love the marinara sauce that came with the mac'n cheese balls. The restaurant is small but very convenient when going to see a show.
The pumpkin stuffed French Toast---is fabulous. Every time I have it I can't believe how yummy it is!! My husband said the tater tots were the best he has ever had!!!
Not really impressed with The Blue Dog Cookhouse and Bar. It was our first time there. We were not even seated for 2 minutes that the waiter came to take our order so, of course, we were not quite ready to order. He never returned... and the restaurant was not even full. As we were located not too far away from the bar, the bartender noticed that we were trying to get someone's attention so he came to take our full order (not only drinks!) so kudos for the sweet bartender. Food was fine (not spectacular) but the service not so much (or maybe it was just THAT particular waiter...). Not sure though that we will give The Blue Dog another try.
