Always my go to spot for a AMAZING meal- great folks, amazing chef and the specials are always delicious and limited! Truly is a NY Staple, for folks that still save the secret amazing places like this for us real New Yorkers!
I love this lil restaurant. What a sweet cozy place! I can tell it's a true neighborhood gem. The host was really kind when my daughter & I showed up an hour early for our reservation after our show got out. He found us a table quickly on a Saturday night and was very sweet & accommodating. I got a perfect lemon drop martini, a Caesar salad, and a steak dinner. I wish I had it in front of me right now!
We had a lovely dinner pre Easter. Restaurant almost full but good service. Branzino and Beef Brisket special were tasty. Cozy space but showing its age and expensive.
Food was great, ambience was classic, service was tops. Loved the bone marrow appetizer and shrimp cocktail with oysters!
We were traveling and staying in the financial district so I found this restaurant on OpenTable for a late night bite after the shows on Broadway. We had a delightful evening of light bites and the drinks were fabulous. We were served by Victor and he was amazing! his energy was contagious. He shared how much he loved New York and he loved working at the brasserie. the gentleman who met us at the front door was very pleasant and also the men who served our drinks were also great. I definitely will come back to this restaurant. The next time I visit New York no matter where I stay. It's jan Americana type diner with great drinks and great food. My friends and I loved it!! I have been coming to Blue Ribbon Brasserie most time I have visited NYC for nearly 15 years. I love the combination of cajun and French flavours. Execution is flawless, the service fun and attentive and prices reasonable. The shrimp remoulade is an all-time favourite, so is the catfish. The seafood is always super fresh, the steaks perfect and so are the sauce (the peppercorn one would put a few French brasseries to shame). Only dish off the menu and sorely missed is the Sweatbread - used to be best in NYC.
Great food, great service and vibe. Bartender was entertaining and superb. Definitely coming back every chance we get!
Food and service was excellent. Service was out of this world. Can't wait to go again
Incredible how this place flows and completely impressed by the quality and detail of every dish we ordered. Staff extremely accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be back to this little honey hole in SoHo NYC! 🍻 Cheers to all the staff for allowing us to order, drinks, apps, entrees and even dessert before a booked reservation arrived for our table. Shawn great job! Merry Christmas to all of you!
Had the Duck Club and was blown away. It was unbelievably delicious.

Excellent food, service, and conversation. This place is a true gem. Every food course was superb. We had the fondue, shrimp cocktail, strip steak, fries, and creme brulee. We sat at the bar and was lucky enough to have James serve us and make us drinks. The Vaquero cocktail was excellent and perfectly balanced. The vibe is great. I'll be bringing my New Yorks friends here next time I visit.

My "go to" late night BEST restaurant in the city, EVERYTHING on the eclectic menu is DELICIOUS and is the best "late night date" establishment (especially after a show/concert) you can go to in the whole city. Great wine list and cocktails - and IMPECCABLE service.....This is why MANY world famous chefs (and celebrities) can be spotted eating here casually and unbothered after their performances or shifts. Came to BRB for our first dinner in NYC. The food was incredible. We ordered the calamari and escargot to start. The calamari was probably the best I have ever had. It was cooked and served in thus incredible broth. The escargot also did not disappoint. Sadly they don't offer bread to dip into the broth. We had asked for bread and it came after.
For our next course we ordered the Basque paella. I have no words to describe this. It was perfectly cooked with fresh mussels, claims, calamari and shrimp. The chicken thighs and chicken sausage were a pleasant surprise as it is typically pork (Which I don't eat). The portion was huge and I wouldn't have ordered another dish if I knew it was that big. Finally we ordered the striploin with mushrooms. The steak was cooked to perfection.
My critiques are their drinks. The cocktails ordered were horrible and had to force ourselves to finish them. Ordered their old fashion and a goose martini. Both terrible.
The place was bumping for a Friday night. Tables are too close and it was a bit too warm.
