Enjoyed dinner pre-show at the Jazz Rose Theatre. Oxtail miso soup—who kn? So good. Sushi/sashimi was excellent. Tuna was melt in your mouth. NA Yuzu-ginger beer was very tasty. Heartily recommend!
Great sushi and great service. The choices are amazing also has choices for vegetarians and non pescatarians.
Exceeded expectations. For a fancy restaurant in NY it has a relaxed and attentive atmosphere. Many of the tables have privacy and the plates are priced so you don't mind ordering a lot to try.
I haven't been to Blue Ribbon Columbus Circle in about a year. The food and service is still the top quality I have been used to and it was so nice to revisit this location.
This is our second time eating here. It is a great place to go for dinner prior to shows at Jazz at Lincoln Center since it's very close. They are known for their Japanese-style fried chicken -- basically fried chicken done in a tasty tempura style. My dining partner ordered it again after having it the first time we went there. I am more of a sushi fan, so I ordered a cucumber-wrapped eel and crab roll and edamame. We both had dessert. My green tea crème brûlée was unusual but really tasty and finished with the appropriate hard shell top. My partner had the ginger-flavored bread pudding -- another tasty combination. Our meals were excellent, and the service was just right on a busy Saturday night. I would say that this meal was a bit expensive, but this is New York City and not my usual suburban eatery. For the convenience and quality, this was worth it. If you go, please note that Blue Ribbon is located inside the Columbus Hotel on 58th Street, directly across the street from the west entrance to The Shops at Columbus Circle.
Amazing meal and great sushi night.

Amazing. Yummy. Very fresh and delicious dishes without over seasoning. Attentive wait staff with impeccable timing and just the right amount of chit chat. Traditional Japanese decor and able to hear our table conversation easily. One of our favorites for take out, but this was the first time dining in. We will definitely be back. Recommended over Nobu57 for Columbus Circle/Lincoln Square/Upper West Side.
Fantastic selection of sushi and sake. Everything is perfectly crafted and service is phenomenal!
Attentive service, worth the price, outstanding quality of all seafood. Will 100% come back.

Always fresh and consistent raw and cooked seafood and veggies, tastefully seasoned & cleanly plated. The waitstaff and supervision deliver quickly, calmly and get immediate assistance from supervisors to make the experience flawless. Its the way to run any restaurant but not normally experienced.

Yummy sushi! Really fresh and well presented fish. Good sake and wine menu. Got a complimentary delicious dessert too. Great atmosphere and location. Definitely recommended, I'll come back next time I'm around. Lovely sushi experience in NYC.
The selection with the sashimi entree was dull and had little variety. The price for what we ate was not worth it...
Always delicious. We can easily get into a rut when it comes to sushi. At Blue Ribbon, try new fishes. You won't be disappointed.
A hidden gem on the UWS. My dining companion had lived In Japan and was in awe of the good. This is my fav Japanese food in NYC
Always a stop when I’m in NYC. Small quaint bar and relaxing atmosphere. Sushi never disappoints
