I frequent here when I am in the city to watch an opera performance. This last time I ordered the butter chicken sandwich. While the seasoning was good both the chicken and the bread were as hard as rocks. I ended up using my fork to find soft pieces of meat and eat the bread like croutons. The service is pretty good and I like most of the other things there. the kids got kids pasta and avocado toast, it was a huge bowl of pasta.
I am sorry to learn that Bluebird London is closing on December 31st. I was also shocked to learn, when we were seated for our 7:30 reservation, that the kitchen would be closing at 8:09, on a Thursday night during the Xmas holiday season. We were somewhat rushed & not too happy. I hope a very nice restaurant will open in its place in the near future.
We had a 6:15 pm reservation before an event. We had not seen a server by 6:45 pm so I inquired at the host stand. By 7 pm we still had not been visited by a server so we left. Another table near us walked out at the same time. They had been seated before us.
Service was non existent. When I asked waitress to take a photo because it was my Bday she said not now, maybe later when she has time. She came once and after and we never saw her again. We had to have hostess take our dessert order. We then had to catch a bus boy to get a check. No one even said sorry to make u wait or switch a waitress.
We were seated at the back of the restaurant, which was empty with long tables that had not been cleaned and right by the restroom which wasn't working. The food was good but the ambiance was a downer given how much we spent.
Went here because they had a decent kids menu. Server was not pleasant. Never checks on the food deliveries. Food was mediocre. Decent if you need a stop over but would not make a plan to return if other options available.
I liked the food and the service at this place, but suddenly you can't make a reservation. I made one on OpenTable and it was canceled by the restaurant with no explanation. They gave a phone number to call, which I did, but no one answered and no one returned my call. Their recording says to go to their own website, but there is no place to make a reservation there. So I would say: no, I won't eat there again.
Very disappointed that the band was removed from the main room, especially without notifying previous guests so they could change seating if desired. I brought friends from out of town because of the music and found it to be too far away to hear. The music is a huge piece of the experience and it's much nicer in the main room. I'm not sure if I will return and I'm a pretty frequent guest.
Beautiful spot for a breakfast tea service. Unfortunately, the experience is slightly marred by how loud it gets in there!I came here alone on a Sunday AM right at open to have tea + treats and read my comic book. The hostess and servers were all courteous but seemed very stressed and busy even though the initial morning service wasn't too crowded.45 mins later everything changed and the whole place was PACKED. The acoustics were not great and it was like being in an echo chamber of noise. Not a peaceful breakfast time at all.The pastries and tea were lovely though they were out of their house signature tea (odd since I was at the first seating). The portions were huge! I finished about a third of the full set and took the rest to go.Overall, the place is beautifully appointed. Just a little too noisy and bustling for first thing in the morning.
An oasis of calm and good taste, Bluebird is a place for good conversations, with good food and excellent service (Brandon, hostess Danisa). On weekday nights the place isnt at all crowded. Prices are not low, though not unreasonably high considering what a great location they have, but the prix fixe isn't that much of a bargain, at least if you plan on ordering the superb steak Tatar and sirloin steak, so do the arithmetic and consider ordering a la carte.

Great location, light and airy and terrific food. However, the service was shambolic - like a modern day Fawlty Towers. My guest and I were given different menus - one the correct lunch menu and one the incorrect menu. Two separate members of staff took our drinks orders and neither order turned up. It was a great ambience for a business lunch and I loved the food. However, it is the poor service that I will remember most. Especially when I also ate in Manhattan cafes and lower budget restaurants where the service was exceptional.
We wanted a quiet, elegant spot for a relaxed business lunch. Bluebird delivered. The room is elegant, the view of Central Park is lush, the food is excellent and the service intelligent and attentive. We have had excellent dinners here, and our expectations for lunch were not disappointed.
The food was amazing. The vibe was amazing. I have been disappointed with brunch but this was great. Fried chicken and waffles was perfect. Great fry on the chicken and the waffles aren't overwhelmingly sweet.
We loved the understated elegance of the room and the excellent views of the Park, the Columbus statue and the Maine memorial. The menu is varied, though two of us took the prix fixe (a good deal at $55, except that steak is $15 extra). The food was sophisticated and beautifully presented, and the service was attentive, backed up by a very helpful manager. Steak Tatar and steak are highly recommended.
Oh my God! Denisia The assistant manager made our night extremely spectacular. I wanted to hug her so bad. She was truly amazing. Her personality, her attitude, extremely professional and very accommodating. We told her we were in a hurry and she made sure the food was on time and the drinks were made none other than the very best JJ. The food was over the top amazing. The chef could go a little less on the salt though. I normally don’t give a good review for most restaurants are even a good compliments but this place would be nothing without assistant manager Denisia and my drinks mixer JJ. I am normally a complainer to the max but they all out did themselves including the chef. The food and the service was exquisite.
