Honestly I don’t like writing stuff like this but this was unacceptable. My first time trying the chicken katsu and a couple bites in I could tell something was very wrong with the chicken. It was gummy, chewy, and when I finally looked closer, undercooked. Not to mention it was lukewarm. The middle piece was almost raw and inedible. It sucks because I was excited to try it considering others had given the other food high praise. Probably not going to order from here again.

Bonchon at 1st Avenue has become, without a doubt, my Manhattan lunch spot. It's easily locatable, always clean, and has a world-class decor that just adds onto the experience. Extremely friendly staff; they make everyone feel like family. I have been in here about six times within the last month, yet each time feels different because of the warm reception. Food is always great, and flavors can be relished each time. I love the Korean chicken wings and am addicted to them. Prices are reasonable; thus, good value. I will surely look forward to visiting again. Well done, love this place.

Came here for lunch . Got the plain Bibimbap bowl.. Great for a vegetarian option!!! Environment is very clean!!! and staff very welcoming!!
First time trying Bonchon and very disappointed. I should’ve known since NO ONE was dining in. I ordered the chicken katsu. My chicken is burnt/overcooked. As you can see I tried to put the sauce on it to save it and it did absolutely nothing. Barely 2 scoops of rice. And the guy that took my order the most unpleasant & dull personality. Definitely a waste of $17. Smh.
