Looked forward to enjoying a quiet drink in a comfortable chair in a bar named Bookmarks - reading a book in front of a fireplace- but it wa just extremely noisy and uncomfortable.
Ambience and view was good. However service was very poor even though there were only a handful of other customers. They didn't have the advertised happy hour and didn't have 2 of the most popular red wines of the 5 on their list. The food was also not as expected.
We were greeted warmly and led to a comfortable and cozy spot not far from the fireplace. Our party of three had plenty of space for ourselves and our work bags. It was 4:30, so it was still quiet, and we enjoyed a cocktail hour together before heading downstairs to dinner.
The Rooftop Bar seemed cute and cozy. After sitting down our seats were very uncomfortable and there was a draft coming through the windows which completely surrounded us. the waitress never asked if we wanted another drink and we had to go find someone to get a check.
We hosted a holiday work reception in a private room, and it was such a comfortable and accommodating experience. The food and drinks were delicious, the space was cozy, and the staff members were super friendly and helpful. The space is comfortable and polished without feeling stuffy, and it's a great spot to host an event! Thank you, Bookmarks!
Vegetarian options: The vegetarian passed hors d'oeuvres were great!

Very difficult to locate. No signage at all. Has potential to be really nice location, however, very very dimly lit. Only lighting was a single battery tea light. Fare was limited and nothing to brag about. Drinks were meh, again nothing to brag about. Service was mediocre and indifferent at best. Way over priced for services received. Place is very cool location. Need someone to one to actually try to make it a really nice spot.
The staff is friendly, quiet, and the view is great! I think it would be good to go when the weather is nice. And there are quite a few indoor tables as well.

OK rooftop, rv on Timeout overaccentuated the positives We changed tables early on outside to a better spot. We did however have to ask the waitress to wipe the table after she had cleared it for us Cocktails were fine. Don't expect a fine dining experience, just basic tapas/nibbles
Very chill, cozy space for chatting, reading or time-traveling via Doors or Books therof.

Amazing atmosphere and place for a quiet meeting, reading, networking event, photoshoot, and sunshine. The food was amazing I had the fig pizza.
One this is that I couldn’t sit anywhere with direct sunlight because it was so hot. I think they need a light window film on the glass (just to keep heat out) because the glass house area because it was like an oven.

This is a great spot if you need to meet someone for a quiet drink. Walk-in seating is also available for the patio, which is a nice option. The cocktails and food are decent and what you would expect from a hotel lounge. The only thing lacking is the service. Both times I have been there it has been so completely (laughingly) inattentive, that they probably shouldn't bother offering table service at all. So, service could definitely be better, but the trade off is a place that is definitely less crowded than most other lounges in mid town.
Really cool rooftop/quaint atmosphere

My favorite NYC rooftop bar with the best servers and bartenders. Always friendly, always thoughtful. An absolute gem. The only thing I could ask for is switching from plastic to paper straws. Otherwise, perfection. Also: do not miss the rooftop views in the evening. Gorgeous,
Ladies - do not go here, it's not safe. In addition to having watered down and overpriced/unimpressive cocktails, I've never had worse service in a wanna be high end rooftop bar. The wait staff added an extra drink to our bill and got into one of the party's faces when we asked a simple question about it. The staff immediately spoke with aggression and was uncomfortably close to us, and spoke to us in an inappropriate loud tone. The staff proceeded to mansplain what an "interrogation" was after we asked to please calm down while we attempted to resolve the situation. Never had ruder service. I can't think of a redeeming quality for this place. Don't go here, especially women who want to be treated with respect. They need a complete work culture change in addition to a skilled/inspired bartender in their establishment.

So despite the MID mid-town locale (nestled a block away from Grand Central) this cute little rooftop lounge is just the ticket. With both indoor and outdoor seating and a super chill “secret garden library” vibe, the drinks were good as were the nibbles. Added plus - it wasn’t loud so you can totally have a conversation and hear each other ?. Overall, enjoyed our evening ☺️
