Great food at a great price! 7 pcs of Karage chicken (2 meals worth) that tasted just like you get in Japan. Sides were nice. Will definitely go back.
This is a great cheap option in this area for a quick bite. The seating is very limited: resembles a tiny cafe.
I love the small menu size, amazing prices. It's really a perfect spot for a quick lunch. The owner and staff are so friendly and polite too!
Absolutely nothing wrong with this place. Simple options, amazing prices, awesome portions, and it tastes so good. the sauces are so good too and the diet coke can is $1.00 which is rarer than you think nowadays. It's quick and the main guy running the place is very very nice. the best best to go for a quick lunch. even space to eat outside. i hate those reviews where people give 4/5 stars but don't explain why. Why take the star away if your comment is positive? this place is 5/5 easily. my go to is the fried chicken and my girlfriend gets the salmon. the rice is awesome and it sticks to the packaging at the bottom and i like that because it's fun to try to get every last piece. i'll be back this week easily and enjoy it again.
i ordered the chicken bento box with ponzu sauce. it came with rice, pickled vegetables, and the chicken itself. the chicken was delicious, tender, fried dark meat. dark meat isn’t my favorite, but this dish was exceptional. the ponzu complemented the crispy flavors of the chicken perfectly.as the name suggests, you will need to get your bento box to go, as there is virtually no seating at this venue. though, there are limited outdoor seats available than can be used if the weather permits.
I don't think you can find a better, more affordable meal in the city. Almost everything is under $10 and freshly made. (And they have a diverse selection of beverages, from your usual sodas to CBD soda options, to beer and sake.) What more do you want?
The fried tofu bento box is amazing and so reasonably priced ($8). The people working here are also SO nice — couldn’t recommend more highly.
This place is amazing. Every single food item is fresh, fast, and delicious, with amazingly fair prices. The staff is friendly too, classic Japanese service. Small menu but every single item is a win. I get lunch here at least 2-3 times a week
The food was delicious that have a lot of favors. I like the spicy curry sauce with the chicken taste the best.
What a great little bento to go place. Delicious bentos, low prices and perfect portions. You can't beat veg bento $8, fried chicken $9, hamburg $9 and salmon $11. All come with rice, pickles, burdock and cabbage salad. Beautifully packaged in cardbox bento box. Small seating area in/outdoor. Friendly, quick service. We had the hamburg and salmon bentos and the seaweed salad. All were delish!

Cheap bento to go place. Perfect for quick takeout. It appears prices used to be cheaper but increased probably due to inflation.Get the karaage box with nanban sauce, it’s delicious!
Fried Shrimp - 8/10The fried shrimp was my favorite out of all the bento boxes. It was perfectly cooked with a delicious coating. You HAVE to get the nanban tartar sauce with the shrimp. Honestly I could have eaten all of the bento boxes with that sauce, it is that good.Fried Chicken - 7/10I think the fried chicken would have been perfectly crispy had I eaten the bento box at the restaurant, but it was in transport for 30 minutes so I understand that the coating became a little soggy due to the condensation. I got the glazed garlic sauce with the chicken and while it tasted pretty good I will definitely be pairing it with the naban tartar sauce next time!Hamburg Steak - 7/10I think this was a solid hamburg steak. If you are a fan of hamburg steak, this will satisfy your craving.Grilled Salmon - 6/10Grilled salmon was my least favorite out of all the bentos. It was too dry, a little overcooked but it paired well with the daikon ponzu sauce.I will definitely be back to have more of that shrimp and naban sauce!
tried fried chicken bento today, amazing food at a good price!!! It was so great that I forgot to take a photo, but there were four big chucks of fried chicken, just enough rice (for a girl), and two small appetizers! will definitely try other bento next time :) The staff was nice as well
The food is amazing and cheap, in the end it was 2 meals for me. Highly recommend the spicy curry sauce on the side. Only cons are there’s 1 indoor table and no bathroom
One of my fave spots in St Marks. Simple and good portions of bento. Reasonably priced and really nice workers! Best quick lunch spot for anyone near NYU.
