The cheesecake tastes great, but I was charged over $9 each for two slices — one nearly double the size of the other. Same price, totally uneven portions. Very disappointing for a bakery of this level.

I went here having read reviews about the babka, and it didn't disappoint! Both the apple and chocolate babka are great, but the chocolate one was the highlight. I do think the prices are however quite high.

Breads Bakery is a cozy spot known for its freshly baked goods, and their famous chocolate babka absolutely lives up to the hype—rich, gooey, and perfectly layered. The bakery offers a nice variety of breads, pastries, and coffee, making it a great stop for breakfast, a snack, or something to take home.

The space can get busy, but the quality is consistently high. A solid choice for anyone with a sweet tooth in Midtown.
