Buddha-Bar New York - Modern Asian Restaurant

Great bar and restaurant. Great food. Amazing music and interior. I highly recommend this place if you want good service, delicious food, amazing music and lots of fun.

Buddha-Bar New York blew me away! The atmosphere was stunning, the service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious

I had an unforgettable experience at Buddha-Bar New York. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the stunning décor — elegant, moody, and immersive, with that signature Buddha-Bar ambiance. It felt like stepping into a different world.

The service was top-notch. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and made sure every detail was taken care of throughout the evening. I really appreciated how smoothly everything flowed.

The food was incredible. Every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. I especially loved [insert favorite dish, e.g., “the miso black cod” or “the sushi platter”] — absolutely delicious! The cocktails were creative and balanced perfectly with the meal.

Buddha-Bar is a perfect spot for a romantic dinner, a night out with friends, or any special occasion. I highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back for another amazing night.

The whole meal flowed smoothly without any issues. Workers here are welcoming and never condescending. I recommend their well-seasoned cooking. The meal was superb and costs appropriate for the generous serving. Genuinely pleasing!

I’ve wanting to go here for quite a long time. And we finally got there on Mother’s Day. Surprisingly it was easy to make a reservation. And when we arrived I was shocked to see that the restaurant was practically empty.
Just few people. That was a red flag right there. Most places are packed on holidays like this.
We made our order. The worry was friendly , food arrived pretty quick.
But I didn’t enjoy it at all. It was bland . But the prices were high.
Not recommending and not coming back(((

Great food drinks, and atmosphere. Staff was friendly and accommodating for my birthday. Would recommend that lychee martini and any of their sushi.

What a horrible disappointment. The Buddha Bar looks and feels tired and passé. So dark and soulless. More importantly the food is ok. Nothing more. Not original of fun or special. But expensive! The service is the worst part of the “experience”. Clearing plates constantly and without asking if we're finished (we weren't as there was still food on the plates), not being attentive and failing to bring simple things like ice despite us asking numerous times. All in all I was so disappointed with the restaurant and especially the service. Avoid

Mauvaise expérience, rien à voir avec les autres buddha bar. La nourriture est fade et grasse et n'a pas les goûts thaï et la finesse des plats habituels du buddha bar. Nous étions à une table avec un spot dans la tête. Le service es très particulier, on sent que les serveuses veulent très rapidement partir et t'enlève les assiettes à la seconde où tu finis ton plat même si nous n'avions pas finit de manger. On commence à faire le ménage à côté de toi alors que tu es encore à table, on se sent pas accueilli du tout. C'était l'anniversaire de ma mère, on a été super déçues, et aucun geste même pas une bougie de la part du restaurant qui était au courant.

I am a first time customer and my overall experience was great. Prompt service, great ambiance, good food and drinks were top tier.

A very bad experience.
We ate at the restaurant a little over a month ago on our visit to New York. There was no person to greet us at the entrance and when we went downstairs, the restaurant was very dark!! We almost fell when we went down the stairs, plus you can't see what you're eating at the table.

Dishes are terribly expensive and do not justify the price.
One sushi roll (8 pieces) costs over 60 dollars! , the sushi is very low level and not worth the price. The rice was dry.
The second dish we chose was chicken with curry and the chicken was terribly dry and not enough curry sauce.
In cocktails they save on alcohol and when we asked to add some alcohol we were told that is how it is and it is not possible to add it.

In short, an expensive restaurant that does not justify the price, we will not return and will not recommend to others.

Let’s start with the decor. It’s beautiful inside but the stairs are a safety hazard. The hostess will tell you to watch your step and walk slowly but it needs more lights on the staircase! Now onto the food. It’s bland and not fresh at all. We got the skirt steak and got food poisoning the day after. Our drinks took forever to come out. Our food came out before the drinks did and our food was served cold, even the steak! It was such a ridiculously overpriced experience. On top of that, the servers were so quick to jump over us to grab our plates as soon as we dropped our forks. We weren’t done yet! Report them to the health department!

Inconsistent food and highly likely chance of getting food poisoning! This place needs to be reported to the health department. Ordered the steak and it came out cold. You can’t serve a medium steak cold. It gave us food poisoning. Also got two orders of brussel sprouts and one was unseasoned and the other was sooo salty - how can it be this inconsistent?! Lastly, I watched a waitress try to pass the dish to the other side of the table by putting her who thumb in the food… unsanitary! These positive reviews all have to be fake. Expensive and not worth it at all!
