In my opinion where they sat me near a bar in a dingy dated space> Bathrooms sinks were wet with water dryer wasn't working. I was disappointed wont go back. For the money they charge for food someone should keep and eye on the place itself ruined the experience. Also many places they talk about dress code plenty of people were there in Nicks jerseys and the whole elusive ambiance became even more elusive.

Lovely setting; old bank vault- a little difficult to find. Signage could be better. Server was brusque and rather rude to his own staff. Clearly wanted to turn over the seating. Placed by the bar so more noise than I'd hoped for. Food was very good.

Great location/venue. reservations for 6:30p on Friday night. Not too busy. Noise level in actual vault a bit lounder - probably due to natural acoustics. Staff was amazing and knowledgeable. Porterhouse for 2 was enough to feed 3. While it was cooked well, it smelled as though marinated in fish sauce. I've never had a porterhouse with a such a smell. It was a bit off putting. The mashed potatoes were lacked flavor and was big disappointment. Didn't have any appetizers or other items from menu.

My friends & I hadn't seen each other in many years, so we lingered over dinner for quite a while. The server was very understanding & didn't rush us at all. All of our entrees were amazing - especially the short rib Wellington! Yum! The duck fat potato side wasn't very crispy, so was a little disappointing. But delicious desserts made up for it.

The Butcher & Banker dining experience was absolutely incredible! The Bank Vault environment was so very special & enjoyable. The NY Strip Steak I ordered was most likely the best NY Strip Steak I've ever had. Our family really suggests you eat at this location if you're in NYC as we were on 4/20/2024! We got to see the Back to the Future Musical on Broadway which was amazing! Then we took a Tuk Tuk bike ride through Times Square on our way over to the New Yorker for our Dinner at the Butcher & Banker!

The experience and food were amazing. I loved the salmon oscar, and the apple tart was the perfect way to end the meal. The staff was attentive and took care of us. We had an individual in our party celebrating a birthday, and they kept the celebration low key and simple. I enjoyed the girls' night out cocktail with the fresh strawberry garnish. The prices are on par for the type of restaurant.

It's definitely a restaurant I would come back to. I loved the ambience and aesthetic of the restaurant. It was a Friday night but it was lowkey. We ordered calamari, Caesar salad and steak frites. Delicious! Their espresso martini was the perfect ending to our evening.

This was our first time at Butcher and Banker but it will not be our last! They served one of the best tasting steaks we have ever had. Not only was the food exceptional, so was the service.

The great things were the good and drinks - good quality, great taste! Our poor server though - we were seated in the vault and he was the only server for the room. It was four tables of 2-4 people and then a large group of around 20 people and it looked like no one was helping him! Because of that, the service was very slow but I give him credit, while he was at our table he was great. He even remembered it was my husbands birthday and bought us a round of limoncello to apologize for the timing. It would have been nice to see some management support for the poor guy!

The lobster bisque was poured over shrimp. Both filets were grossly over salted making them impossible to enjoy. For $60 you expect a properly cooked steak. . It took 12 minutes to get get our drink order. When asked what the pickled veg served with the shrimp cocktail the waiter said it was some kind of Japanese horseradish.

Butcher & Banker was a first rate experience. The Chilean sea bass was awesome, fresh and bursting with flavor. Bread, salads, drinks and desserts were equally great. The decor is also amazing, with the giant vault door truly stunning. Most highly recommended!

The bread at the start was amazing and unfortunately that's where our great experience ended. We were served the wrong sides our Tomahawk that was $145 was overcooked, the wine we ordered came out wrong and had to be sent back. I was so so looking forward to this dinner but was left disappointed.

Cool atmosphere. Apps okay but portions incredibly small. Meals were not good. Pork was fatty. Fish was too fishy. Would not go back.

Party of 7 and 3/7 enjoyed their food. The atmosphere is nice the server seemed a bit overwhelmed but still pleasant. There was a guy walking around in a black jacket; the manager I suppose, just looking at everyone instead of asking if everything is okay, it made some of us uncomfortable. Lastly, it’s very odd that they don’t allow you to use flash while taking pictures and not providing an explanation. Overall, 3/5 stars however would not return.

B & B has that obnoxious practice of refusing to seat a party until it is complete -- even on a not-very-busy Monday night. The idea seems to be to create bar sales. The food was ordinary and the bill shockingly high. I will not be back.
