Met up with a group of friends for a catch up dinner. Food was amazing. Service was fast and staff friendly. Will be back.
The meal what out of this world great. Our server Jasmine was the best and make great recommendations, especially for the appetizer! Thank you to Chef Alex and staff!
Our dining experience from start to finish was outstanding. The staff was super friendly and attentive without ever feeling overbearing, and the whole evening flowed effortlessly. You can tell there's real care and pride in both the service and the food. Everything we tried was amazing, but my favorites were the Endive & Poached Asian Pear appetizer and the short rib entrée. Both were full of flavor and beautifully done. The appetizer was light and refreshing, and the short rib was rich, tender, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Overall, it was one of those meals where everything just came together perfectly. Great food, great people, and a really welcoming atmosphere will certainly bring me back soon.
Perfection. From start to finish. Wonderful food, excellent service. High attention to detail. The dining room is perfect with 90% booths. Lighting is spot on as well.
The service was slow and felt lacking; the restaurant lacks any sound deafening tiles so it's very loud. The food was tasty enough.
The food came out quickly, was hot, and delicious. I loved my barbecue braised beef short ribs, which were only topped by the beignets for dessert.
Butter is consistent with professional attentive service, and very good food. Make reservations as it can be crowded as it is popular w/ the Broadway crowd.
I've been wanting to eat at Butter for quite a while and finally had my chance. I had planned to have a cocktail and an appetizer, but the entree menu was so enticing. It was a splurge, but I don't come to NYC very often so I decided to treat myself. It was well worth it!
Had a wonderful experience at BUTTER. Our waiter was very attentive and made recommendations to ensure we would be able to get to our show on time. The food was AMAZING. Highly recommend the cavatappi pasta and the short ribs - still thinking about how delicious those dishes were. Great ambience as well. Would definitely go back if I find myself in NYC again.
Enjoyable meal with great service. We arrived early and we were seated and allowed to have cocktails while we waited on rest of party. Duck confit was amazing

Food was very good, however it was too long of a period of time between courses for a business lunch. We waited over 15-20 minutes between courses which is too much for a business lunch.
Our waiter, Javier, was attentive, informative and efficient. Made our evening relaxed and enjoyable, even if we didn't get to see Alex. We will be coming back.
Butter Midtown has long been on my restaurant bucket list and it did not disappoint - from the Parker house rolls to the NY Strip steak everything was delicious and meticulously prepared. We ended the evening with peach cobbler and raspberry beignets for the table - both were a delite!
Did not disappoint. From snacks..to main course. Staff was attentive and we arrived for our reservation a little early and didn't have to wait long to be seated. Great experience!
Very disappointing. The pork chop had no seasoning and was completely flavorless, the polenta was extra gritty, the butters were not tasty. The gnocchi Mac was delicious, the rolls were good, and the roasted part of the Brussel sprouts were good. I guess when the boss is away the sous chef will play. Not sure my meal would win her Alex vs. America (what a total bummer! I'm a huge fan!)
