Busy, busy diner-like atmosphere with a nice , varied menu, right on 44th St. I had Pasticchio, which was great, but a little too much red sauce for my taste. I prefer more bechamel. It also came with a salad for 18.99. We were there at 11:45, not too crowded. By the time we left, patrons were waiting in line. The locals always know. I would return to explore the menu more.
A friend recommended The Red Flame for breakfast and we enjoyed our meal. The restaurant is a short walk from Times Square and we were seated at 830am on a Friday in under 5 minutes. The menu had all the diner standards and our food was exactly as ordered. Serving sizes were generous and the service was quick and efficient. The prices were a little higher than diners further from Times Square but not bad.

Reasonably priced food with great customer service. We had breakfast here twice, and they were rubbing like a well-oiled machine. Very small wait to get the food and it was hot. We would eat here again.
