Incredibly delicious, outside sitting is so comfortable, their almond croissants are crispy and sweet but not overly— perfectly balanced. tiny plates which I don’t love yet the food is simple, tasty, and would go back in a heartbeat type of way good.

Very average. The coffee was nice, the croissant decent. Croque madame and Jambon Cru were average and overpriced for that quality and size. We had to wait 5-10 minutes but there was a huge line. Would not recommend parties larger than 2. Extremely tiny place (won’t hold it against them though! They’ve done great accommodating those who need a bit more space)

I’m being kind…I was left sitting in the garden with my dogs for over 10 minutes, 80 degree weather without water. I was trying to flag someone down but was repeatedly ignored. I finally get a waiter and order, I had to ask for water for my dogs 3 times before it arrived. My food was out rather quickly but was completely unseasoned. My coffee didn’t arrive until I was finished with my meal. I thought maybe they are short staffed, but when I was leaving I saw no less than 10 employees. This place is small, cramped to the point that it is unsafe. The staff is inattentive and the food was wildly disappointing. They are banking on OLD reviews. Buvette has clearly gone down hill, I wonder how much longer they will last. The buildings or fire department should walk through and make sure it’s safe in case of an emergency. I do not see how people would be able to get out/escape safely.

Cute space that serves incredibly delicious, well prepared food. Dinner menu consists of small plates that are good for sharing and offer the opportunity to try a little bit of everything. The restaurant itself is cozy and very small, so it can be a little tight and can be a bit overwhelming when large crowds begin forming at the bar, since there isn’t much room between the bar and the tables. Service was very good - waitstaff is there when you need them, but leaves you alone otherwise. A little pricey, but definitely worth it. We had a reservation so we were seated immediately, but I don’t know if I would visit without one since it gets very busy.

recently dined here for breakfast and for dinner. i think i would choose breakfast over dinner even though dinner obviously has more options. the dinner is nice if you want some quick and small bites but i definitely think if you’re trying to go out for a nice dinner there are better places in ny and especially around the area. the food was not bad by any means i just think i would prefer do dine at via carota or i sodi instead of here (unless you are looking specifically for french food). at breakfast we ordered the scrambled eggs with prosciutto and parmigiana, the eggs are a soft scramble so be mindful that they may have a differing flavor than a scrambled egg. i liked them but after a few bites they made me a little nauseous. we also ordered the pain perdu which was very good but a little overhyped. i read reviews saying its the best french toast in ny and i personally disagree with that. it was very good, especially the center but it was not the best. portions are also very small so for someone like me with a bigger appetite i left still hungry. also for the price i don’t think the price is reasonable. i also tried the hot chocolate which was very good but i think you could skip it, angelina and eataly remain the best in my opinion. as for dinner portions are again smaller which is somewhat nice because you can try a bunch of things but price wise its a little expensive for the sizes. we ordered the gourgers (i hope im spelling that correctly) which were little breads that were somewhat cheesy and had some small pieces of ham. they were my favorite thing that we ordered but i wish they were served warm because i think that would just elevate them a bit. we also ordered the potato gratin, croque forestier, burger (it was a special) and chocolate mousse for dessert. the potato gratin was a little bland in my opinion, i kept feeling like it needed more cheese. it was a little soupy which was. somewhat nice because i dipped the bread in the sauce but i still wish it had more seasoning. the frostier was the other winner for sure. it was small but i honestly think its worth the price just because of how good it was. it’s gruyère cheese and mushrooms (not sure if it has béchamel sauce). the center was soft and the flavor all around was really good. you can get the forestier all day so i would recommend this at breakfast. the burger was not the best in my opinion. to be fair i am very picky about my burgers so i just did not feel that this tasted very good. they used fresh focaccia as the bread which i did love and the it came with french fries which were amazing, please order a side of fries with your meal! the burger had roquefort cheese on it which was way too strong for me and overpowered the taste of everything else. lastly, the chocolate mousse was nothing too special. i had heard some reviews raving about this but i didn’t think it was that great. the whipped cream was good but the mousse wasn’t anything special especially for $14. as for service the servers were nice enough but not personable and we felt a little rushed both times we dined here. the atmosphere is cute but tables are super small so things can crowd up quickly. overall i would say this place is worth a try but not something i would go out of my way for. if you live in the area i could see this being a place you come back to but as someone who lives in brooklyn i would not make it a point to travel here.

I was too hyped about this place but we missed the brunch time and had to order dinner menu only. Food was disappointing - just like a regular European homemade meal but nothing special.Seats are narrow too. Will try brunch next time.

If this wasn’t an expensive place with a Michelin and Gault Milau, I probably wouldn’t review. But $70 for the worst meal I’ve had in New York requires a review. It was a busy afternoon so I’ve rated the staff higher than the level of service we actually received. I’ve never had a prosciutto dish taste like tuna, and I’ve never had a waiter not enquire if the meal was okay- especially when it’s not even half eaten. It all felt careless. That was the most money I’ve paid on a dish with zero redeeming qualities. My partners croque monsieur was pretty good, the cocktails were nice, the interior is gorgeous. Also just do brunch til 6, it’s clearly what the people want, I heard half the tables grumbling they had to get the dinner menu on a sunny afternoon. I’d let the queue of people waiting to get in know, we probably would’ve walked away. I wouldn’t not return, some dishes on other tables looked good and the wine list was promising. But this was so close to being a two star rating from me.
