César is a new NYC restaurant by Chef César Ramirez, known for his work at Brooklyn Fare. The tasting menu features a series of memorable dishes, including buttery Dover sole and the signature frozen corn soufflé. The minimalist dining room is sleek and modern, with counter seating that offers a view of the open kitchen. Unobstructed views and high-end ambiance create a true fine dining experience. The menu includes hot dishes like squab and Wagyu, in addition to seafood specialties. Dishes such as the Norwegian Langoustine Monaka with caviar and fresh flowers, the Hand Dive Scallop with Foie Gras, and the savory Flan, which reminded guests of Chawanmushi, stand out. The Chef's Uni on Brioche is considered one of the best outside of sushi restaurants. The staff, including waiters Marcelo and Roberto, are friendly, attentive, and help create a fun, relaxed atmosphere. The overall experience is described as pure perfection, with warm hospitality and professional service. Many guests believe this is one of the best tasting menus in town and hope that the restaurant earns back its third Michelin star.
